Musicman's Wake Tomorrow!

Ahoy!

So for those who are planning on joining the festivities, let this be a reminder that it starts tomorrow @ around the time of 3pm EST (2 Central, Noon Pacific). The event will occur in locations all over Stormreach, but you should meet initially at The House Phiarlan Foyer (enter between the mailbox and favor representative).


If you are ever unsure of where the event has moved to simply look in the LFM screen for details.

The Order of Events is as Follows:
- Introduction & Story-Telling w/ Thaelor @ House Phiarlan Foyer
- Hide & Seek for Allinblind
- Axyl’s Last Concert & Mosh Pit @ Pheonix Tavern
- Hide & Seek for Anavrin
- Snick-Snack the Head off the Warforge w/ Noobitron the Pyschonaut @ The Open Palm Inn
- Hide & Seek for Snowleopard the Gonzo
- Sharks & Minnows Elimination Competition w/ Killbott 2000 @ The Hammersmith Inn
- Special Guest Appearance (meet in Marketplace, in front of House Deneith)
- Musicman’s Farewell Concert & Dance Party @ House Phiarlan Stage by Vestrii’s Arms (Enter from Marketplace, follow the left path – it is almost immediately on your right)

Snick-Snack the Head off the Warforge (A Variation of Pin the Tail on the Donkey):
Contestants will be provided a vorpal greatsword, and given 3 swings to attempt to decapitate Noobitron the Psychonaut.

The Contestant should be patient, and take one swing at a time (Contestants should not be receiving the bonus to-hit gained from stringing attacks together)… if the contestant was successful but took more than 3 turns or attacked too impatiently (activating the combo to-hit bonus) then they are sent to the back of the line without supper!

If the Contestant is not proficient with greatswords, he need only ask Noobitron for help, and the Barbarian-Cleric-Forge will grant the Contestant proficiency by grace of The Lord of Blades.

To decide the order in which contestants shall have their attempts, they will be grouped into Raid parties and roll dice… Lowest rolls go first, highest go last -- such is the will of Noobitron!

All contestants will have a chance to swing, & all who successfully Snick-Snack the Head off the Warforge will win prizes. All winners will be put into a group and told to roll an odd number die. The prizes will have predetermined numbers, and whoever rolls closest to that item wins it.




Sharks & Minnows in the Hammersmith Inn:
If you are unfamiliar with Sharks & Minnows, please watch the instructional video (accessible here).

For those who would rather read, here is a short outline:
The Hammersmith Inn PVP is broken into a series of rooms – it makes for a nice race track. Think of the non-PVP area at the top of the ladders as the pit stop (we call it the beach).

As a minnow your job is to run around the race track by going first through the room to the right (called the Red Room) and following the outside rooms till you reach start and are able to climb back into the pit stop/beach for safety. Minnows are not allowed into the center room! Also – no attacking the sharks .

As a shark, your job is to wait in the center room until cued to start (when the Minnows enter the Red Room). Once told to go, your job is to kill one minnow (yes, only 1), before they reach the safety of the beach. However, you cannot pass through the doorway connecting the Beach Room to the center room.

To make this more of a challenge, however, the number of sharks shall grow. The last minnow alive will receive a special prize from Killbott. Multiple games will be played, but winners can only win once – if you have already been a champion you must start as a shark.



Hide & Go Seek – Allinblind, Snowleopard, & Anavrin:
Some members of Musicman’s entourage have resigned to spending their last time in town at their favorite locations in Stormreach.

Further more, they each have some remaining items they have no further use for. The first person to locate them will be given a most prized possession, and the second and third adventurers who find them will also be bestowed with a gift.

Their hiding locations shall be relatively easy to access and shall be within public instances which anyone can enter.

To find out who you are searching for, look on the LFM screen – they will be anonymous though, so use the clues provided.

Musicman will have the help of some friends to post in the LFM screen who you are looking for now and provide a clue as to where they can be found.

Perhaps, if you find Musicman's friend also you may be able to win something... who knows?




Axyl’s Last Concert at the Pheonix Tavern:
Make your way to the Pheonix Tavern to enjoy the rockin’ lyrics of Axyl Rose the Reinvented, and, if your into it, bash away at your fellow adventurers in the Tavern Brawl Mosh Pit.



Musicman’s Final Concert:
Simply show up, have fun, & dance.
Also, there will be a Conga Line, so it is suggested you have a ranged weapon.



**Conga Line/Dance Parade:**
To participate in the Conga Line, equip a range weapon & enter sneak mode. Now turn-on auto-run & start dancing via emote.

That sounds like one helluva farewell party. Hope all who attended had a good time. Very creative stuff man. Snick-Snack the Head of Noobitron had me laughing. Plus just a really clever game as long as noone tries to snipe the Vorpal.

Same here, and I even rolled a bard for the festivities. Seems the wife wouldn't let me out of the dinner get-together with her prior temp-agency employer.
(But free food/drinks? My arm wasn't twisted TOO far...)
The timing was a sucky coincidence tho.
