Can somebody (e.g. TURBINE), please explain to me why we loose nearly one third in fees?????

No auctioneer on this planet charges this much!

Recently sold something for 300K plat, and lost 90K plat in fees.

Please tell me Turbine, what is the justification for this???? Do you wish to keep us honest players broke?????

I might be making something out of nothing here, but these charges are ridiculous lol

Sure it is a drain, but it takes the platinum out of the game.

I buy and sell lots of things on the auction. Recently sold PK wands and +4 Mithril Breastplate. I bought arrows for a friend that is just starting out on auction buyouts.

My characters are never broke. I am not carrying a million platinum on any of my characters either, but I can always repair my equipment or buy something nice if I see it.

And you cannot forget to add in your posting fee.

And if I ever sold something for 300,000 Platinum that would be more than any of my characters have. I would not complain. 210,000 platinum goes a LONG way in this game.

I agree with the fees. We dont have enough "sinks" in our online economy. If its valuable, sell it on the forums. If you have bunches of time, try and open your own auction service, if your respectable and the community trusts you, you could probably easily sell items for players with a small listing fee and say 10% of the final amount. It would be a bit of work on your part (keeping your listings up to date) but doable.
