    Default Best Solo Quest for Level 9

    I have a old-build level 9 sorcerer that I would like to take for a spin.

    I would appreciate any advice on a challenging quest he should be able to solo. He is equipped with a +4 mithral shield and is not steathy.

    I would also appreciate any input as to enhancements and spells.

    Just run around sorrowdusk isle killing stuff for slayer xp until you get a good feel of the char again. PK and firewall are nice to have, but you can get thru just using niacs also.

    The build looks good, just keep umd maxed, u will want to pick up maximize, an spell pen feats. Other than that........it looks workable, i would have dropped the dex down an pumped more into con, but it looks good other wise.

    Stormcleave is a fun solo at that level. Do normal first, you'll need to practice tactics; especially for Pious Gruel, as you don't have the spell (Suggestion) that makes him a cakewalk.

    (Charm Monster is no substitute: it does not work on orange nameds).

    Are you sure about that? I've never charmed an orange named, but I have suggested one. It happened in Gnoll Fan. I threw out a mass suggestion, and the Orange named Hobgoblin got suggested too. I was told, on the forums, that an orange named has no preset immunities (like red and purple named), rather an orange named simply is someone in a quest that Turbine deems to be tougher than most of the mobs in that quest.

    Not trolling, rather, would really like to know the answer to this.

    I think you got him all wrong.

    Sirgog said that Suggestion works on orange named monsters and Charm Monster does not. Which in line with the experiences you stated.

    if your hp are solid and you grab a spearblock robe, firewall is pretty adequate to solo the delera's chain

    Except you need a person to pull the lever in part2

    You're right though, Firewall and Halt Undead make for an awesome combo in Delera's.

    you can use a hirelng to pull the switch nowadays...making it soloable sorta

    Any Orange Named Mob (assuming one that you have to kill for an objective) would need to be immune to Charm spells.
    Unlike Suggestion, which has a set duration, a Charm Spell could last indefinitely if the Mob never makes his save.
