At the suggestion of several people in a recent raid, I thought I would put this item up for auction:

Firestorm Greaves (33% less damage from fire)

The points are as follows:

1 Large Devil Scale = 10pts
100K plats = 1pt (max of 10pts)
Seeker 10 Light Pick/SS of Puncturing = 10pts (max of 1 item)
Seeker 8 Light Pick/SS of Puncturing = 5pts (max of 1 item)
Royal Guard Mask = 2pts (max of 1 item)

Min: 40pts
Buyout: 100pts (if multiple offers, then the one with more Scales will take it)

Auction ends at midnight EST on Thursday, 11/6. 30 minute anti-sniping will be enforced. Winner must respond within 24 hours for pickup, or I reserve the right to go to the second highest bidder.

I reserve all rights, including the right to pull the item, delete it from my inventory, to cancel, etc. etc.

(If you've got a WoP rapier/SS, and would like to discuss a trade, just PM me and we'll work something out with me adding stuff on my side, obviously. )

I'm finding out -- was in a raid when I asked this question, and folks were like... yeah... many scales... very valuable now (some of the new content), etc.

We'll see.

Their value has dropped with shroud items being available. You can easily craft a -33% (element) damage item from the shroud now.

Judging by the lack of bids, I'm going to have to agree.

It never hurts to establish some sort of value. DDO's economy needs a bailout! Huge liquidity injections, because no one knows what something is worth.

I'll still keep this up until midnight tonight (as original terms).

Making an elemental absorption item can only be done on a WEAPON...thus, lowering dps while boots lower nothing!

They sell for 1m - 1.4m plat on the AH. OP is asking 4x their value.

Welp, I did get one bid for 10pts - so that's something.

It's below what I would accept, but thank you nonetheless.

It helps to establish a sense of the value of this item. Sometimes, I'll auction stuff just to see what the board-reading Ghallandans think the value of X is by actually putting up the cash.

It being 10:30pm eastern now, I'm going to guess the min won't be met.

But it was interesting -- so there you have it, people of Ghallanda. Firestorm Greaves --> worth 1 large devil scale (barring bids in the next hour and a half).
