Rennaissance SCA & Dagohir Outfitting?

Hey all-

I'm looking for websites that have prety nice to REALLY nice stuff for LARP ie Renn Fairs, SCA & Dagorhir. It turns out I may be doing this for New Years (and propositioning someone with a ring, maybe) at the same time.

I wanted to find stuff to make the event really special at the Tavern during the break from fighting "monsters" and casting "spells." I'm pretty excited because the guys that I know do this professionally (they've got their names in quite a few RP Books as Play Testers over the last 3 decades).

Anyway, I'm looking for ANY shopping sites that outfit renn & medieval/medieval gothic that would hold up in all weather conditions (like snow).


Items In Particular:

• male/female leather boots (black, brown, forest green, buckled or non)
• male/female tunics, leggings/pantaloons, hunter skirts or kilts
• cloaks and/or robes w/clasps & ruggedness (very durable materials)
• leather belts, sashes, belt pouches & sword tackle

Thanks in advance for any insight the ddo community has on these things! I appreciate any and all suggestions & will check them out to see if they work for the event.

http://www.etsy.com/ Look under clothing, then sub category costumes. You can find some good stuff, fair stuff and some great stuff. My daughter did most of her wedding items from here. They have very honest vendors.

Museum replicas has good stuff, and hmm try checking some the NERO sites they proably have some good links I use to larp with them a lot and have some nice latex swords and shields from those days. NERO= New England Role Playing Originization. And if you want some really nice boots(expensive though) Catskill or something like that and Bald Mountian(I think) they both make custom renn boots. I have a pair and so does my wife.To bad you dont live close or we could loan you enough for about 5 or 6 people I will see if I can find some of my old links and let you know.

And thanks MM for the congrats -- I've been trying to make this "moment" happen for 13 years (when she and I met in a chat room, believe it or not). It has felt like she and I have had an empathic connection from the echoes of time (basically, fated & foretold over centuries, possibly other lifes, etc) & I'm incredibly excited about my gal from down under hopefully accepting.

Good luck with that I had to go elsewhere to find my heart of gold and imagine never imagined that I would marry a girl from Translvanyia(spelling) considering I work with blood at night and that she would get into gaming. I wish you all the same luck
