Hi, I am having a problem finding any information on this. I am building a high dex ranger/monk build. I am mainly using the monk levels for the WIS bonus to AC. Anyway, I started off with a 16 WIS, which is a +3 bonus. Now, does the bonus only go off of *BASE* stats like with tomes or every 4 levels, or will items also raise this? For example, if I got a +6 Wisdom helmet, which put my WIS to 22, would the effective AC bonus now be +6? Any info on this is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Paul.

Your total wisdom bonus will be added to your AC under circumstances that allow you to use your wisdom bonus for AC. This includes items, effects, base stats, enhancements, etc.

I have another question. How many Monk levels do you need to get the wis bonus?

You only require 1 level of Monk to attain the Wis bonus to AC. However, you still can't wear armor, or use a shield to retain the bonus.

That's awesome. Thanks for the quick replies. I was hoping this was the case, but wasn't sure. My new drow is going to be either ranger15/monk1 or a more stretched out ranger14/fighter1/monk1, not sure yet. Dex will end up at 34, hopefully with white dragonscale robe, protection +5 etc. I also bumped my INT to 13 for CE. Looking to get some impressive to hit numbers with light weps(rapiers/short swords) with weapon finesse. Thanks again!
