That armor has a max +6 Dex Bonus for everyone. If you have Fighter's Armor Mastery then that will give you up to +3 more Dex Bonus on top of the +6 from the armor. And if I'm not mistaken, doesn't the Dwarf Armor Mastery stack with Fighter's Armor Mastery? So that would be an additional +3 to the max Dex Bonus. So that is what makes this armor special. It's medium weight(great for barbs) and has a possible AC value of 20, that's really nice(+8 Armor Bonus and +12 max Dex Bonus). Great armor for a high dex build character.

Yes and no.

Any mithral bp/cs can achieve the same for less of a dex commitement, and have additional effects on the armor.

Example, BP of Destruction: 10 armor +5 dex +2 FAM (Daggertooth belt) +3 DAM = 20.

If you have a +12 dex modifier (34 dex) you can achieve more ac by: 8 ac bracers + 4 raiment +12 dex = 24. Even if you go 7 ac bracers, you still come out 3 ac ahead, granted at some additional farming.

No, I did not notice that. That blows. I was actually starting to get my items ready for Druids before everyone else does.
