Default New Player 32 point build question

Hi all I am a new player to the game and I see a lot of reference to the 32 point build. I know that it is something you unlock, so I guess my question is do I just grind a character until I unlock that favor before I seriously make anyother toons? I see so many types I builds I would like to try and play but they all have the 32 point stats. Thanks for any guidance on this.

You can grind one alt to get enough favor to unlock the 32point builds or you can just make a bunch of alts and when they get to the 1750 favor, that is just bonus. Every character that gets to 1750 favor gets a +2 enhancement to one ability score. A +2 tome if you will. There is not that much difference between a 28 point and 32 point build. My opinion is start playing and when you get someone to 1750 favor, that is just a bonus. My feeling is if you are new to the game and want to have fun, don't go for favor because that will make the game feel like a grind which is a turn off for many people. Just enjoy the questing. When you get to 1200 or so favor, then think about getting to 1750.

Just my opinions. Welcome to the game. This game is very fun if you let it be!

I would avoid highly stat-dependent classes until you get your 32-point build (no monks or paladins), but other than that, you will just be a little less versatile than your 32 point counterparts. I have 2 28-point builds (cleric and ranger/fighter/rogue) who are both very effective at end-game.
