Default +5 Mithril Twilight Full Plate of Lesser False Life

This is rr Elf/Drow umd 24 lvl 14 req.
    15% Arcane Spell Failure

This item is probably for trade. What can I expect for it?

I'm hoping for +2 tomes and large ingredients.

I know it is very valuable but I'm not sure exactly how valuable (i.e. wop rapier value).

    Thanks

Just to set your expectations - it's not going to be THAT valuable.

+5 mith FP isn't common; but most power gamers have come across multiple sets. The twilight and lesser false life will probably only degrade the value; since they raise the min level; but are of almost not gain for most builds.

Are you thinking clearly? Twilight on mith fp will bring the value down?!

Maybe I'm just overestimating the end spell failure (don't know it exactly and too lazy to go check this close to bar time) - but I don't see piles of casters wearing FP either.

That's because there are not piles of +5 twilight mithral armor A lot of elf and drow casters could get an occasionally-useful armor class if they had this armor along with +5 shield, and the other typical-tank gear.

I think its a very nice suit of armor with very nice stats. I think it would be a nice item to design a high level caster around. Save your plane jane +5 mithril for your fighters at 8th level. You wont be level 8 forever.

Really? I think that there is going to be a nice niched melee sorc or wiz who wants it. Combined with a mithril twilight shield, the elf armoured arcane enhancements and the seven fingered gloves you have quite the ac boost.

Yeah.. I'm a little suspicious that that last comment was done in malice to try to shortchange me.

No there is no malice man - you can believe me or not - but neither myself nor anyone I play with would have any use for the additional twilight on the item. Let me know if you do get an armload for it - I would be curious.

It should have about a 15% spell failure, combined with the elven enhancements, and the gloves it would be a nice battle caster item.

Very nice. To those who stick with simple cookie cutter builds this armor would be only ok. To someone who would go and build a character around this armor(and there are more than a few) or have the character and have simply been waiting for this armor, it is extremely valuable.

Default What about the battle bards....

I see several post about Wizzies and Sorcs not being armored, but the best class I can think of that would actually use it would be the bard...especially a battle bard. I have several in my guild that have the bards setup for battling and have twilight armor to off set the "-" to casting. It's definitely nice armor!

Hmm, nice looking armor. Again, too bad you're not on Khyber.

I really like the armor, and would buy it off auction if it was a reasonable price or a steal.

    Spell failure = 35 - 10 twlilight - 10 mithral - 10 drow enhancement - 5 seven-fingered gloves = 0%.

It's not that the item is not valuable or rare/uncommon, it takes a specific set of circumstances and builds to capitalize on it. There just isn't a great demand.

I am interested, but am not sure how much I would pay or what I would part with for it. I recently sold a set of +3 twilight mithral chain for 450k gold. Given the speed of the sale, I underpriced the buyout, or it was set just right. The demand for twilight mithral chain may be higher since spell failure is not a problem and not too costly to mitigate.

I would peg this at about 2 to 2.5 million gold, 4 to 5 large ingredients, or equivalent items in trade.

    This armor has been traded.
For the speculators, it was sold for a set of +2 tomes minus the int one.
