    Default Weapon Question

I know the most damaging weapon is w/p but does it still apply if you are twf with primary hand holding a wounding weapon and secondary hand holding a puncturing weapon? I know its not the same, but is it close???

Which should be in my primary hand and which in my secondary hand? Does that matter?

    Thanks
    Jules

A W/P isn't the most damaging weapon. It does kill most non-red mobs quickly if it is on the correct weapon. The wounding effect goes off each time you hit. If you have more attacks with your main hand then your wounder should be in your main hand. Puncturing effects goes off on a critical hit. If it is on a weapon with a good crit range i.e. Rapier then you may want to reconsider and put that in your main hand, hoping to get more critical hits in.

The optimal would be to have a Wounding Rapier of Puncturing in each hand, again for non-red mobs. And also have the IC:Piercing feat to bump it up. For red named you want the damage type that will do the most to them. Most of the time Holy Burst of Pure Good, tbh. Otherwise a good Transmuting of Maiming (again on a decent crit range weapon) is nice.
