    Default Halfling Paladin?

I'm thinking of a halfling paladin, weapon finessing and dragonmark healing, and I'm not sure what else to do with him. Is there room after weapon finesse and the three dragonmark feats to try and get my AC to a respectable level? Or should I try to do something else?

Well, other than Dodge, there really aren't any feats that are needed for AC.

You are talking about 5 of your 6 feats on the way to Level 16 being tied up: 3x Dragonmarks, Weapon Finesse, Improved Critical, leaving you one feat open... Not sure what you would want to take, but Toughness is a good candidate

Maximize or Empower Healing might be considerations to power up your Dragonmarks... but it's up to you.

Are you building a Dragon Marked Halfling for the flavor? To be a healing Paladin? I have found that the dragon marks on a halfling in a class that already has healing ability to a waste (provided that the person playing has access to moderate amounts of plat to pay for wands and scrolls while leveling). A guildy has a pure healing halfing d-marked cleric that he says that barely required a single wand to get up to lvl 14 (before the cap). This could be useful to some, the same way that having extra support healing from a d-marked halfling Paladin could be very helpful leveling up, but might be over kill. Extra LOH, and Unyielding Sovereignty give tons of extra healing, coupled with healing spells and wand whippage by paladins. The concept could be a viable and intersting concept but you can also take feats such as Mental toughness to bolster a pure Paladins spell points and still take all the combat feats needed for a melee class (Toughness, etc). One thing to consider is that healing dragon marks fall on the same timer as healing spells so you cant "quick heal" people spamming through all your healing spells and marks... not sure if this is intended or not, but it hinders the usefullness of the healing Mark. Also I think healing Marks should regen on a timer like unyeilding sovereignty it would make them much more useful in my opinion. This is all my opinion, and would love to hear differing opinions of others.

Ps. I also have a different guildy who is making a concept fighter halfling d-marked that seems to be fun for him, but it is still low levelled and has been shelfed since new content has come out.

I really don't have the Platinum for wands and scrolls, so levelling up without them was part of my concern, but also the concept pleased me. I'm not entirely sure what way I want to go, and I'm not sure where the balance falls between high-end magical armor and a magically enhanced DEX bonus.

as far as an initial guess of the way I want to go, I've come up with this build. Can I get some advice on how better to focus it, and how best to equip it?

    Default Just something to remember..

... is the halflings already limited carrying capacity, and until you pick up a decent str item?? you'll prolly spend most of your time encumbered to one degree or another especially as a melee,so remember to keep a very careful eye open for multitask weps i.e. +2 ghost touch adamantine weed whacker etc etc

    cheers

I can garuntee that if I had access to 32 point build, I'd have more strength. I'm not sure how valuable it would be to lower one of my other stats right now to raise it, though.

I would not suggest weapon finesse instead of strength, as you will go from okay DPS to awful DPS. (I speak from experience on my elf bard.) Nor would I suggest Dragonmarks as paladins already have the minimum number of feats (7).

    This is the build I am following for my halfling paladin;
    http://forums.ddo.com/showpost.php?p...&postcount=137

After thinking about it, this build may be "okay" with a deep splash of monk for the extra feats and AC bonuses, given you will be wearing light/no armor anyway as a high dex melee.

14 paladin (chalice) / 6 monk (ninja spy)

    10 feats:
    Jorasco I, II, III
    Weapon Finesse
    Power Attack
    Two-Weapon Fighting, Improved Two-Weapon Fighting
    Improved Critical: Slash
Toughness or Empower Healing or Maximize or Greater Two-Weapon Fighting?

LOL! Really And for anyone out there new to Paladin builds...I don't recommend going Halfling on a Paladin due to the strength penalty. Paladins are already DPS challenged enough to want to purposely decrease your DPS another strength bracket.
