Well, they seem to keep making Pokemon, DBZ, Gundam, and Naruto video games. So, I'd say yes on that note!

Sadly they butchered the meat of the story. It's like a rocket propelled roller coaster with changes to almost every scene from the book that did make it to the movie. Just truly diplorable, and I'm truly disappointed.

Maybe in another 20 years they'll get it right.

Just buy a copy!!! That is the only way it will ever become a real movie. I like many of you have been a die-hard for many years. The pen and paper Modules continue to be my favorite game series ever (well maybe tied with TSR G series (Against the Giants Rocked)

Well I had a Dragonlance movie party tonight and invited some of my friends to watch it on my home theater. Watching it on my theater was awesome, it is too bad that most people will only watch this in a non-theater setting. I got goosebumps right in the beginning when the red dragon was flying in space and got stabbed with Dragonlance.

Well everyone and myself enjoyed watching the film, some had read the books and some had not. No one said anything about the animation, in fact one of my friends said he really like the use of 2-D and 3-D animation which is very ironic because I hear most people complain about that.

There was definitely things done right, and I am not going to get into what I think could have been better. Now I am not saying this is perfect, but what really is perfect? Sure everything can be made better, but this is what we have for now. I bought 3 copies, and I am giving 2 away as presents. I am sure the people I give them to will enjoy.

Sit back and enjoy the animated movie for what it is, a 90 minute adaptation for film of the book we love. Good luck on the next one, I eagerly await it.

I have not yet had the chance to see it.
But I think I will take a chance.
I remember the Old D&D cartoon series.
and I actually have fond memories of it.

It was kind of corny, yes.
But it was an early attempt at something
that now has a HUGE following.

as to the new movie: (which I have not seen)

    From the sound of things;
    (in this post that is)
it seems like they make have
gotten caught between trying to make best use of the CGI,
And trying to "keep the flavor" of the original Cartoon.

They may have thought they would get allot of
audience who remember the original series.

So they may have wanted it to seem familiar.

But that is just my opinion. (And you know how that goes...)

I will reserve judgement till I have seen the movie.

Speaking of which, they're making two Castlevania movies - one animated and one live action. Really looking forward to those, but I have doubts about how they'll turn out.
