+1 Keen Heavy Crossbow of Smiting - what's it worth?

Saw some other posts asking what something was worth, so I thought I would ask about my Pop reward from last night.

Yes, it is a KEEN heavy Crossbow of Smiting.

Plat value would be nice to know, but I would also like to know it's trade value. I realize that is hard to put on any item, as it depends on how bad someone wants it, but let me throw out some samples (and hints as to my wants for it! ):

Bloodstone

Superior Potency VI one hander

+1 Paralyzer Bow RR - so min lvl 8!

+6 Wis Necklace (RR preferred)

Most people do not use crossbows most people vendor em lol. Just IMO I would either sell it to house d vendor or take the best offer here..

Since you asked...

Dimz's right. The only crossbows that are worth it are repeaters (and those are limited to certain builds as it requires a Feat just to use them). Bows are the most valuable ranged weapons because of the myriad of feats (some class granted) and enhancements that can make them more and more powerful in the right hands.

FYI, most builds that focus on a certain weapon also take the Improved Critical feat which does not stack with the Keen weapon enhancements. So keen is nice but only to a point.

Seeing as it's Keen, it *might* be nice for a Cleric. But, most Clerics I know would rather lay down a BB and kite the constructs through for damage.

Any cleric with it i will smack... on the back congrats! jk... but seriously.. thats a bad cleric in perspective that wuold resort to a crossbow.. UNLESS storm.. cuz that ones just BA. Word.

Bummer - and here I thought I pulled a sweet crossbow! Guess what you all makes sense - considering none of my characters uses them (except for Storm). And I was thinking myself that it would have been awesome if it had been a repeater...

Oh well, thanks for the feedback guys, I think I will try the AH first to see if someone has an interest before I vendor it.

Superior Potency VI one hander (ML 14 stuff, only steady source is to keep running litany on elite. i wont let mine go for any amount, until i get sup pot 8)

+1 Paralyzer Bow RR - so min lvl 8! (i have 1, we can discuss)

+6 Wis Necklace (RR preferred) (be prepare to pay through the roof, +6 wis items (non helms) are already rare and to have 1 useable at L11.....)

I bought a +1 hvy rptr of Smiting from the AH for 8K plat (buyout price)! (think it was a mistake but could not resist)

I bought a +1 para hvy crossbow for 10K plat.

You can buy a hvy crossbow of disruption for very little, last one I saw (and had a bid on it) was ~10K plat.
