Why are people so picky? they wont buy some good stuff.

I have the same problem. Our servers see relatively few newcomers, and the player base has largely been playing for awhile. Both have a negative affect on the auction house.

Reasonable buyouts is important.

The Orc Bane weapon isn't so hot because Orcs are chaotic, at least according to the SRD. Make that Axiomatic or True Law, and you'd probably have a sale. In addition, Orcs are in relatively few quests, so it would have to be a really impressive weapon to use a backpack slot on a Greater Orc Bane weapon, no matter what the price. Axiomatic would definitely make it impressive. Axiomatic Burst Greater Orc Bane(if that was even available) and people would be beating down your door to get it.

DD +10 is useful to someone's alt, that's one that would depend on your buyout.

Greater SP 7? If I was on Khyber I'd take that in a second, depending on the price. And if it was one handed.

Another thing I have found is that people don't always read the whole item name. Sometimes really long item names with the cool attribute at the end, the attribute at the end is hidden from people speed-reading the list. I have had some items like that, that floundered on the AH for a month.

I hear what you mean...I've had this **** for a little under two months now, no takers. Can you believe no one actually wants a ghost touch of disruption? or a bloodstone? boots of the Innocent?

well how much are you asking for the stuff....plat farmers websites paying 20$ mil buyouts have been gone now for at least 3 months....its real players only out there making AH buys.... good stuff sells but if your asking 20 mil for everyone of those items its just not gonna happen...maybe some of them..... reasonable prices and their gone....the dragon sword for ex...i pulled one...and dumped it for 2.5 mil gold on ah...its not that special....the dps is pretty weak actually.... the ancient band was nice..but now almost all characters get HF on there helmet and prot +3 is just a throw in.....bloodstones are sittin on our ah for buyouts of around 6-8mil gold....if i needed one i would think about it....I do like that Repeater and the boots are nice too

someone said they are making more plat on lowbie twink items, and I found that to be true.

my buyouts for low or high items are about 25% about listed value. this usually gets the item sold.

like someone in this thread said, the 20 million plat prices are gone. people have to be more realistic about their prices or items wont sell. sellers in general have always had ridiculous prices, since beta and before. I am offering multiple vorpals and other ubers for +4/+5 fearsome padded/leather and still I have no offers.

finally, what is left but to farm for items anyway? why buy it when no matter what you quest you do you'll be doing it again for the nth time (which is essentially farming)?

Well, there's no accounting for taste... In that case, I'd still go with my first hunch, that there simply aren't enought Orcs in the game to justify a backpack slot for it. Being a maul, and a two-hander might not have helped either. I'd prefer an Axiomatic Greater Bane to an Axiomatic Burst Bane, anyway, for the more consistent damage. One of my favorite weapons is an Axiomatic Greater Gnoll Bane, which cuts through gnolls like butta.

While I carry a Greater Gnoll Bane on all my characters, a Greater Orc Bane would have to be really spectacular for me to use the slot. There's just more gnolls and more gnoll situations, and the gnolls that exist are highly elemental-resistant.
