    Post Pure Cleric Build Request

    Ok, I've been reading the forums for a couple of hours now trying to do research on building my new cleric. I currently have a rogue and a wizard that I enjoy playing, but I see the popularity of the cleric as well that makes me want to try one.

    I want to be able to heal and buff with offensive spells. I do not want to melee at all. I am thing high char/wis with just enough str not to have to go sell off every 10 minutes.

    I definatly would like to take the human race and need a 28pt build.

    Can anybody please reccomend me a build with skils/feats/enh for this to help me get started? I would greatly appreciate it.

    Default It is a start....

    Total party support Cleric. Heals, buffs, DV's. Just a place to start you can play with the enhacements and such depending on available gear.

    I would recomened a 17 starting Wisdom instead of 18, and an 8 Dex. THeres no real reason to bump dex up. Your reflex save is bad anyway, and you most likely going to be wearing full plate 1s all you need is a +4 item to max out your dex bonus.

    Take those 5 build points, put 3 in STR and 2 in CON for a 13/8/12/10/17/12

    This give you a little better melee power and carry capacity without sacrifing anything signficant.

    Empower Healing isnt nearly as exciting as it used to be. I strongly recomend empower Spell. Very nice to have as it only cost 5 more spell points and helps things like deific vengence and searing light.... very handy when fighting the giant in STK now adays.

    Extra Turns... I never recomend.

    Toughness... I'd never reocomend on a Human cleric either. 16 hit points just dont do it for me. you'll have close to 200 decked out which is more than enough for a non melee cleric without it.

    Feats I DO recomend are

    Quicken (Take this later. L9 or 12) Uninteruptable spell casting and fast casting is awesome.

    Maximize Spell. a Maximized Blade barrier can solo just about anything n the game.....

    Spell Focus Enchant or Necromancy... Enchant for CC Necro for Instadeath. Much more fun.

    Good points Impaqt. This was just a quick build, something to get the ideas flowing. You mean drop starting wisdom from 18 to 17(human cleric can't start at 20). I took toughness, because I couldn't think of another feat, forgot about quicken. Went with Empower healing because of his stated desire to only be party support. If he decides to do offensive casting, your idea is much better.

    Yeah, I mean 18/17 Corrected.....

    The only spell Empower healing truly shines now is HEAL..... and thats pretty much to use HEAL as an offensive spell agaisnt Undead..... With enhancements and an potency/devotion item, a Heal spell can typically heal anyone more than needed as it is.

    By sacrificing the extra 5 spell points on Empower Spell, you open up significant options as as offensive caster.
