i'm not sure of "market value", but because it's lvl 7 makes it worth something. it wil easily be replaced at higher level by a the reaver head trinket, however.

I've heard of ppl paying decent amount of money for it. But as others have mentioned, there is the Head of Good Fortune from the Reaver Raid, which isn't terribly difficult to get. And lets also not forget about the Rabbit Gloves.
It's a ml:9 item that comes from the list of end rewards from Thernal South. It's only +1 like the Stone, but the gloves are really easy to come upon.
