Well, since the majority of responders to loki's request were Xorian in origin (yes, mostly the ones offering to help because believe it or not, Xorian Hate or not, we actually get along) this was actually to be expected.

If you come into our house, and spit on the floor, you're going to have to expect some sort of response.

This was a thread from one of the guild leaders from Xoriat. Several (Memnir, Myself, Pixa, etc.) responded to his request for help. Several also had to open their mouth and put in their two cents which had nothing to do with the original post and the request for help. They were flat out trolling, flaming attacks. Yes, loki even said bring on the flaming in his original post, however, simply put, the motto of the Musketeers seems appropriate.

"One for All, and All for One." Translated into modern English, that would come out something akin to, "Screw with one of us and you're going to find you're attempting to screw with all of us."

Analyze that.

Or is that you have the urge to validate something that obviously matters little you? Or is it that, Loki has offended your sensibilities so highly that you have to reply to these posts because it's too shiney for you to look away?

#1: Let me start out by saying I don't dislike Loki, I don't even know him outside of this thread. He actualy seems like a pretty decent fellow, I think most people are pretty decent. I like people in general. Just because you have something critical to say, doesn't mean you don't like something on the whole. Elitism rubs me the wrong way but it isn't "wrong" per say.

Why do I care? I don't especialy, not on a personal level. I do however have a keen interest in communication and interpersonal relationships. I pride myself on being a good freind, good neighbor, good husband, and generaly helpfull guy. Someone tells me to **** off and its not my buisness.. I **** off. But this is a public board, and were all here and were all in a dialog, it isn't out of place for anyone to step in and have a say in whatever the discussion is.

I post because I'm interested. I'm interested because the parties here seem unaware of the messages they are sending out. I though I might help folks see what they are saying.. holding up a mirror to thier words so they can see how they look to other people. Perhaps they might learn something, perhaps not, and perhaps I'm a fool but its what I felt like doing. Loki wants to share his wisdom of playing DDO, and I want to share my wisdom of being considerate and clear in your communications.

It doesn't take any special aggravation to get me to make a post. I post when the topic interests me. Loki's original post wasn't that interesting but what followed was. There was a back and forth of folks being boa****ll and criticizing eachother of being boa****ll and it was interesting because neither party seemed aware of the attitude or message they were sending, sicne they were critisizing eachother for thier own behavior. And then others were bieng harsh and critical of people being harsh and critical. "Death to all fanatics!"

So... Loki made a post going out of his way to explain he has good intentions and is a nice guy etc etc... and then says he doesn't care what people think about him. I wanted to understand why he would say two things which seem to contradict one another. Perhaps I could better understand his thinking, perhaps he could better understand his own thinking. If you don't think it is usefull in life to understand how other people think... thats fine, but I would assert there are few things that are more usefull to understand, the main one being understanding how you yourself think.

I've played with a lot of you guys and you a couple time scars. I think the above poster made a valid point. And this IS a public forum. He has as much right to an opinion as anyone.

And yes, I think loki came off a bit harsh multiple times in replies to people and not just here but in other posts, and every time you blindly support him no matter what. I'd like you to show me a post where you didn't support him to prove my point.

Just because he's your guild master doesn't mean you have to support him no matter what, like some slave bro.

Most people made comments here that were positive or encouraging only one guy said something in the beginning that was negative. The gentleman that you are now attacking put up a very reasonable and sensible response. I've been watching this post off and on for a couple of days and felt no need to respond until now.

You may flame me if you wish but most people know me in game as a pretty stand up guy that gives items away like there candy, and is more then willing to help others out.

Because actually I was talking to Pixa. Pix has made a couple semi-digs (or what appear to me to be semi-digs) at me in the past. I've heard good things about Pix which gives me some measure of respect for him/her and didn't want him/her getting the wrong idea.

But no. I really don't care if forum posters think I'm a jerk. If people who actually knew me thought I was a jerk, I might be concerned.

And if you think I would brag about my l33t roleplaying video game skills to impress my smoking hot wife, I'm guessing you don't have one...

LOL... Loki comes off harsh.. all the time. And, while I don't really pay attention to what I say... I get hella posts from Loki daily asking me to either shut up, stop screwing his posts, arguining against him or basically being a jerk.
