Hey, Do you have a Greater Teleport?(semi-rant)

I'm I just being nuerotic or do you fellow Sorcerer's get sick of hearing, "Can we get a Greater Teleport"? No matter how often I explain, "I get one level 7 spell and it's not Greater Teleport, it's Finger of Death...". The some of them have the nerve to ask you to go buy some SCROLLS of GT...I'm sorry but I'm not going to throw away plat on GT scrolls just so you don't have to hit the "recall" twice...

I've never had a problem with GT, but I remember back when the cap was 10 I was yelled at for not having haste, which at the time was not worth taking on a sorcerer.

If plat is not an issue then buy the gt scrolls. If you are poor then do not buy them. If you are poor and have a capped character then learn how to make money on the ah.

Money is not an issue for me, so I carry gt scrolls. I say this though. I would not expect a cleric to carry heal scrolls if I wasn't prepared to carry gt and gh scrolls.

That's like demanding that someone bring you the restroom because you are too lazy to go there yourself.

I do carry rez, heal, true sight and restoration scrolls which I use as I deem necessary.


Tanks never ask for buffs or haste because they already have it from me.
People who drop fast get a displacement, if they continue not to get healed, I will use a heal scroll.
I don't care if the cleric has heal or rez scrolls on him because there is no way I will let a cleric run out of mana on healing duty with our current content.
If a tank runs off and gets killed, he goes off the buff and heal list until the next shrine. If he improved by then, he will get the buffs again.

The whole idea that it is a clerics responsebility to carry scrolls is absurd. My level 14 cleric has no scrolls of any kind. At the moment, she does not even carry wands.
Not a problem now and has NEVER been before when I leveled her up.

I carry scrolls of it sometimes. They are kinda pricey but what else is a caster to spend his plat on? It's not like you can get SP pots or you need to make alot of repairs.

If I need to get to the inn really quick for some reason, I just slash death...much quicker than GT.

Really though for me, I have only been back in the game for about 3-4 months and already I have plenty of plat to fund 2 more jobs from scratch. Plat is not an issue for me or the people I run with.

I rarely pug so I do not mind spending my plat on a scroll that saves the party 10 seconds a quest. If I spent my whole capped career in a pug then I would not buy them.

I also carry them so If I am off on a favor run I can get back to gh a little quicker, so if I have them and the quest is over, I do not mind using one for their convenience (or laziness). In all reality when I am capped I just /death anyway.

I carry a few of them. They are pretty nice for getting to the Titan raid. As far as using them after a PoP run or something... forget it.

GH scrolls and stoneskin are necessary if you can't fit the spells in. Rez and Heal are necessary for emergencies. GT scrolls are a convenience and not really worth the plat to maintain a stack.

Yeah, there's absolutely no use for the most powerful buff in the game at that point...

I always have gt scrolls on me, but I mostly save them for getting groups out to titan raids. If a group wants gt out of pop they can buy me the scroll. I also keep a few stacks of other scrolls I will never use if i don't have to like res scrolls.
