Actually everything you list might be useful in the expansion.

For the 'player who has everything' though, Turbine has a challenge trying to list a reward that is useful to you and the other 95% of the player population.

I'm sure if they included +3 BTC tomes, there would still be a tiny segment of the population that wouldn't find those useful.

I don't understand why the rest shrines can't be used in raids though. It seems like this would be something that even the 'player who has everything and only runs raids' could find useful. Is it a game mechanic or just an arbitrary choice by Turbine that imposes this restriction?

I still have one of the orginals on a bank toon... I'm not jumping up and down about the new list.. But hey it's just a little present... It's nto suppossed to be some total awesome game breaking thing... Gift horses mouth and all you know ;)

How does that +1 inherent bonus work? Is that basically the same as a +1 tome?

Because it would strip the challenge out of every raid in the game and make it pay to win-- to beat any raid (even ELOB) all you'd have to do is summon a rest shrine from the store when your party is out of SP or has a bunch of death penalties.

Yes - they are the same.

Ability score boosting tomes confer Inherent Bonuses to your abilities. If you have a +1 Inherent Bonus, you have consumed a +1 tome. Or, a +2, +3, or +4 time, but are only currently level 3.

It's nice of them to give us options. .

..a chance at a +3 or +4 Tome would make this UBER!

...maybe for the tenth anniversary.

.....still a nice gift though.

Yep... The orginal cakes were usable in raids.. But at the time it wasn't that big of a deal it was a one time thing. Allowing store bought shrine into raids is a big problem...

I misunderstood what he meant. I thought he was asking why we can't use any of the portable shrines in raids, to include the store-bought ones.

None of my toons received a cake. All were on Lamania before todays update. For me the Cake is a lie. :(

I don't believe that he made me dance. However, I was working through LogMeIn, and in my efforts to keep up on the forum, I may have had the windowed client covered while dancing.

Pretty funny seeing people post that the 'reward' they got for FREE wasn't good enough.
