Well you have to remember that what the developers have said is that they base the decay on the size (small, medium, large) of the guild. We don't know yet if they base the decay on the actual size (number of accounts) or just via the size tiers (small, medium, large). What I mean is that say medium is 26 to 100 accounts, it's possible that a 26-member guild gets the same decay as a 100-member guild. It's also possible though that they do scale based on the number of accounts, with some sort of multiplier based on the size tier. But those all have to be taken into account.

I'll likely be taking down the observed decay for a 25-account guild every day, although I missed yesterday's decay because I forgot how long it takes my laptop to load the game. But I don't know if people will be doing the same for their own guilds to see the amount of decay they get.

I think having guild decay be based on accounts, as well as including the small guild renown bonus, would be a mistake. That's equivalent to double-counting rewards for being a smaller guild.

And Turbine doesn't make mistakes.

I agree it's sure doesn't seem like something that is WAI...

On the plat based guild contracts my guild is not high enough level to look at them (yeah I know sad) can anyone do me the favor of looking at the gold er... platinum price of guild contracts for: small chest, lvl 1 nav, Hobgoblin, Training Dummy and Scholar? Also whats the contract length?

I'm specifically trying to compare the gold price and contract length versus the DDO store price for the gold seal versions, in light of what it will cost a small guild.

bump in hopes of getting Vanshilar and Hendrik to update their decay numbers. Did it end up such a paltry number that neither of you find it worth commenting on any more or did you all run off to a different thread?

Wow, so much false information, where do I start?

1. All ships are permanent. All of them. As in, 100% of them. If you get to level 80 and get the super-duper-ultra-mega ship, and drop down to guild level 20, you still have and can use your mega-ship-of-doom.

2. No one is grinding renown anymore. We're just questing like normal, like we did before guild renown, yet our guild levels are still going up if we're a (normally) active guild. This is the way it should be.

We are level 32 and really we stopped farming renown when we hit 25. Now at 32 we have the ship of level 25, all the +1 stat shrines, dummy for +2 to hit and kobold for +1 to hit, guild chest, navigator. The other rewards are very less interesting of all this, except the +2 stat shrines but they are very high level. So really after level 32 the renown grind is useless.

The latest numbers posted indicate a decay rate of around 6 per acount per day.....is anyone seeing anything different?

Turbine is "testing the Air" so to speak. They are seeing how we will react, and adjust accordingly.

It sounds like they cranked the decay WAY up, and will watch and see how it works. If tis too fast, they will kick it back a notch.

Unfortunately, Epitaph, and other guilds like mine are the guinea pigs for this lil experiment, kinda like the fact that there are (AFAIK) no permanent amenties to airships, and i really think that sucks. Sure shrines and training dummies should be temporary, thats fine, but guild bank chests? Thats just the hungry, hungry (Turbine) Hippo trying to get as many TP from teh cutting edge guilds, until they make some items more permanent.

I cant fault Turbine, they are in this to make $$$, but COME on. Half-orcs are another thing, as well as druids, but guild housing is three + years late and THREE color options on Airships!?! This is not 1985 and this is NOT an Atari 2600. quit feeding us breadcrumbs, we have been starving for years.
