The player base asked for warlock nerfs, monk nerfs, and for nerfs to broken multiclass builds including AoN builds, and received corresponding nerfs to the multiclass warlock tree, multiclass monk tree, and AoN/vkf versatility. So, uh, what you are experiencing is exactly how they wanted a build like this to work.Quote:

I had been off DDO for over 2 years, so I have missed quite a bit.
It is sad with the nerfs, I had no intention of taking it past level 20, racial TR'ing asap. Ill just try to see what I can do, grind as fast as possible to get to 20.
Might try some Arty lives next, been doing too many GOO warlocks.
I could jump into 8 levels fighter, get bonuses from kensei and a boost to survival from stalwart defender.
Extra feats would help in fixing the ones i missed out on to make a better melee.
Consider pure monk is actually the best melee in game so going 12 monk instead of 18 is not a big issue u lose only core 5. With warlock 6 can be even better till lvl 18, so i wouldnot split other classesQuote:

If you are only doing Heroic I'd say there are better cleric lives to go. Fire cleric works well as does a properly built Magic one, or Air, but I like Magic more. For Epics though, Implosion and Destruction still work if you keep your DCs up, but any dps build just straight up dies. I haven't tried AON again since the nerf, I tred after the druid pass.

Then they buffed warpriest with a new racial wood elf variant that gets to use scimitars and falchions.
After six nerfs to this build and three buffs to warpriest ... this is still a better build for 1-30 reaper leveling than warpriest. It's too bad those of you coming in late missed how much fun this was in it's real glory days.
I mean... should I even bother with this? I made a post in general regarding them nerfing every build. This is getting tiresome. Cant even find a decent build now, its like they just want us to run around with foam swords or something.Quote:

At one point devs fixed bugs. For example, devs didnt nerfed Avatars cleaves, Avatar was suppose to be slow, but hard hitting. Cleaves hit a "cleave" speed, but Avatar is to be slow. Its because it hits hard. Fast Avatar is a bug.
Devs didn't nerfed handwraps. They actualy made them better. Some say even uber in the hands of Shintao Monks. But Avatar didn't really used handwraps, more of a "unplaned side effect".

Bug fixing happened. Devs even said it like years in advance that things lika that are not WAI and it will get fixed.
Well, Kriogen, I agree with you to a degree. But bug fixes that have the net effect of removing the viability of an entire an Epic Destiny without boosting it to its former power are problematic. Here's the deal, this was a fun and viable build that zoomed, and I do mean zoomed from 20-30. I was in a level 35 Anniversary party at level 22 with a bunch of level 28-30s. Guess who killed bosses the fastest? I was killing two before other people killed one. I was not indestructible, proper planning was needed, and you had to remain aware, but yes, the power was true.Quote:

None of the changes or bug fixes you mentioned matter. The thing they changed was to add animations to Tree form attacks where they never used to be. Had they simply left it animation free, this build would have lost some of its lustre but remained viable. By adding animations they destroyed it. Maybe putting 100 Melee power whilst in tree form would help, I don't know, it's no longer viable, and yes, I played one at 30 after the changes before TRing in dismay.
