I know, I'm deeply woried too..... Thats about the fourth time in a week I've agreed with him.

Your poorly penned rant screams of jealousy for those who have worked for this perk in game.
I agree they do provide a huge benefit at low levels. However, at this stage in the game they are completely unnecesary even at level one.
They are not a crutch and for you to come on this forum and insult players who have worked for them is no fair and is indicative of an immature mind caught up in jealousy and unwillingly to work for the benefit yourself.
At level 1 ship buffs with 30 resist, and +2 stat is essentially no different for an experienced/veteran player who stocks +4 stat potions and 10 resist pots.
Your argument is so full of holes I could strain spaghetti in it. It is ONLY your opinion and you are doing yourself no favors by thinking this way.
Go argue about haste potions at level one being OP or some other non-sense and stop insulting others.
Very poor form but typical....so....elfing....typical...
I started my own one man guild some time ago, and found that i rarely need the buffs. Actually i rarely bother to go get them. Why? BEcause not having them for a while made me relearn how to avoid elemental damage, and the rest are just perks. If somebody wants/needs them, thats just fine. Why get upset at losing 2-3 mins of questing every now and then. I can just sell nd repair, or go for a quick smoke while they buff.
Indeed, people have forgotten how unfun it was to have to give resists to everyone, not just at the beginning of the quest but after every shrine, too. It could be time-consuming too, particularly in raid groups, and it was a mana sink for casters.
The energy resistance shrines should probably stack like the spell does... If a brand new player joins a big guild and the 30 resists make a part of the low level content (caster mobs and some traps) trivial to him, it's not a good thing. But no way the ship buffs should be removed.
For many guilds acquiring new ship buffs was a source of motivation. I remember how my guildies and I were chuffed with every new buff we got on the ship as we progressed through the levels and the collective effort certainly strengthened the team spirit in the guild.
dont you all feel stupid, runnin circles aroud the overly complicated floorplans? Then ,I always laugh , as players die and lose their'' hard earned'' buffs anyway. this is such an easy troll, awsome response allready; thx softies.
Before ya know we'll start seeing "no invulnerability armor"-lfms for waterworks too I bet.
I personally like ship buffs. It gives puggers more incentive not to die in quests.
How? I'm one of those people who doesn't use them. I was in a high-level (capped) guild and always used them, until I left to start my own. It was the best thing that ever happened to me. You don't realize how much you don't need ship buffs until you don't have them.
Getting rid of ship buffs isn't the solution.
I always wonder, when I read thru these threads, why OPs always do clad nerfs into good meaning words. Turbine, you have to nerf this, you have to nerf that. Monkchers OP, nerf monks. Ship buffs killing the play fun, nerf that. Shiradi too OP, nerf that. Except from obvious exploits or obvious cheating, if you do not want it, stop using it. Do not nerf the fun or happines of other players that find whatever useful.
Are ship buffs OP? Perhaps, especially on lv. 1-5 quests. So what?
Is monkcher OP? Perhaps, especially when kiting the whole EE dungeon. So what?
It´s not your play style. OK, we now know this. Feel happy.
So what? What me worry?
I want to enjoy playing DDO. As a multiple TR I like the buffs, especially the XP shrine. Can I live without? Yes. Can I live with them? Definitively. Shall Turbine do away with them? Why? Shall Turbine keep them? I would not mind. I would keep them as convenient.
So what?
Some things would go smoother if some people would keep away from always wanting to ruin some other peoples way of having fun. Its as dumb as other people not accepting unbuffed people into their LFM parties.
For everyone who says that ship buffs hold up your group: in the time before guild ships people also complained about others holding up their groups. Selling, shopping, not finding the questgiver, going afk, etc. There will always be players holding up your group whether there are ship buffs or not.
I do not use buffs at all. Owerpowered. I can handle dungeons even without buffs. Sometime i use XP and healamp buffs, but not the others.
And dungeons are still completed. Simple calculations show that getting buffs is smth like 2 minutes. I can use this time to run dungeon with the same speed.
Save time, do not use buffs!
