To be clear, if you think that being mean to my friends and coworkers but not me is somehow "nicer," it isn't. Not at all. In fact, it's worse, and I'm unlikely to listen to people who are mean to me OR my friends.

I'm referring to the higher-ups (not necessarily those with whom you work on a day-to-day basis) who make decisions regarding big issues like game direction, marketing, etc.
To be clear, I do not like personal attacks. Unprovoked, personal attacks on you, Steelstar, Flimsy, Torc, etc. are inexcusable. Attacking corporate decisions, design decisions, and decision-making processes in a deliberative, considered manner is perfectly legitimate in my opinion.
The people that you believe are somehow holding us down are my friends and coworkers. I trust their judgement, and with good reason - they are some of the most incredible, most talented, most industry immersed people I've ever worked with, and DDO is demonstrably better with their expertise. Their judgement is why we're so successful.
It seems the developers only listen to some people and cater to only one playstyle. I've asked a couple of questions real nice like and haven't received a response at all. At the same time I see other customers practically crafting their own treasure. When you treat customers like this you shouldn't be surprised when they get a bit frustrated.
I've seen in several threads people wanting some epic content but it goes unanswered and ignored for the most part. The message seems to be play at 30 and raid or don't bother. Some people might not want to do that but they just get shunned. What is the vision for this game & why do some customers get everything they ask for while others are simply ignored?
To be sure, I generally only come to the forums when I want to fuss about something but there's an absolute ton of stuff you all do that I love. I think, though, that you should perhaps consider all customers and not just cherry pick those that you like better than others or maybe the playstyle you like over others.
We try to answer evenly, but in threads like this (with roughly 500 posts) sometimes we can't answer everyone. I'm sorry if you felt left out. When I look for things to respond to in loot threads personally, I am looking for clear, concise and direct questions or suggestions, as those are easiest to just say "sure, why not" and roll with. I promise I'm not picking by poster, I'm just looking for good ideas.
Your question - "would you be willing to lower the minimum level of Sharn loot?" - is a good question, but the answer is no. I don't like just quoting people and saying "no" which is why I didn't do it until now. In the future I'll try harder to ensure questions like this are answered more promptly. I don't mean to exclude anyone, and I'm sorry I passed you by.
I think this thread needs to be closed as the positive feedback has degenerated into spiteful vitriol which is not constructive in any fashion. At this point whatever we end up with the next preview is probably about as good to the mark as any. There's plenty of filler pieces or crafted stuff to get on with it once the expansion hits.
Agreed that the discussion seems to be largely about a different topic at this point, and having a new thread next preview makes sense. Closing the thread.
