Lol. People have been begging for cleric domains for years. Now that they come out the first thread about them is negative. Of course the healing domain focus will include a weakness in offensive.
What? Maybe you were thinking a healing domain should also have a bonus to offensive spellpower, DC's on Evocations and necromancy, and +1[w] on melee damage?
Isn't the whole point of domains that you get a bonus in one area and a reduction in another due to extreme focus?

The Domains I used in 3.5 were an addition, I don't remember many having a penalty. And they gave a selection of extra spells per day from a specific domain list.Quote:

The pacifism ability mentioned in this thread is thankfully a toggle, but it's not a free ability. You have to pay AP's for it and you have to pay for it to continue further up in the core abilities.
I feel much more forced in my choices now compared to the old enhancements. But let us see, perhaps things can still change.
DDOs main appeal is customization and variability. Making the enhancements further require us to specialize would be turning DDO into another WoW clone...Quote:

Those who do specialize end up not being able to contribute as well in quests where their specialty isnt viable for whatever reason.
