Really? Its been almost 5 months since this game went F2P, introducing the game to a crowd more accustomed to "other games." Yet there still has not been a major outcry (at least nothing more than there was before F2P) asking for PvP. Your little rebellion will just be another one to be ignored by the devs, and rejected by us forumites, no matter how hard you scream "DooOOoOoOoom!!!!11!!" and how much you want it to happen. If you really like PvP that much (as, despite your attempts to disguise a selfish idea as a game-saving one, you state,) then you should really go find another game.

When PVP was first added to DDO it had a leaderboard to show who was winning more.

That was removed, because it was stupid. Automated ratings of PVP outcomes will not make any sense unless the underlying PVP gameplay was first improved to the point of being basically fun.

When you add a rating system to an imbalanced PVP game, it becomes less fun because players are less willing to be a "good sport" and work around the various flaws.

there is plenty of potential for pvp in this game. the focus will shift from new content to improving existing content soon as more and more requests pile in

the only truth is that a lot of people pvp regularly and that number of people is increasing. you have no point.

The number of people is increasing absolutely. Relative to the total population, it remains more or less the same. Furthermore, the main increase in the PvP population are coming from level 3-6 characters who just discovered it, and for whom the novelty has yet to wear off.

i will reitterate my point.

This Game is built around character customization. You can make anything you want given three classes, a race, and your Enhancements.

Some of those characters will be good in PVP environments. Many will not.

Therefore, the Main populace of the game will NOT be as interested in PVP as the game is 90% PVE.

If they increase PVP availability, make more interesting PVP environments, thats all well and good.

FOCUSING on PVP is a MISTAKE that the Dev team is unlikely to make.

You keep speaking of "So Many" and "Piles" or requests. I look through the PVP forum and you know what I see?

Requests for PVP to be removed. I don't see this public outcry you are talking about.

I've never seen such an outcry. I believe PVP will be improved sometime down the line. Everything in the game improves over time.

PVP is not as Important as Content is. This is an indisuptable fact.

That's your opinion, one not shared by most. The two ideas you've posted so far both appear to be based solely on your opinion, without any consideration for what others might want, and without consideration for what may be good for the game, both in terms of developer time, and in terms of meaningful additions.

which is fine but the fact is people will stop building characters that only function pve to make sure they work in pvp, and this 'main populace' you speak of is arbitrary and ill defined. i think that you have some kind of idea that people who have played the game since it was an alpha are the 'main populace' which is incorrect since 'long timers' are now endangered of being outnumbered by free to play people.

pvp is not as important as content is, i would have to agree with. but again, that's just my opinion and there's no reason both couldn't be developed simultaneously. it's just another false dichotomy and another foot stampin, pouty faced, 'i'm right!' whateversauce fest i don't care about
