The fix to BB is not in yet.
Yep, gonna agree with Norg here. VOD is doable in a pug. My guild isn't that large (15 total members, but never more than 7-8 on at once) so we have to pug spots for VoD, Hound, Shroud all the time. Ultimately, like all PUGs in this game, it comes down to the usual basics: leadership, communication, cooperation. The good PUGs have all many/all of these things, the bad ones have few/none of these things.
Had no issues in the vale, nor several other quests. You are talking about the immunity issue, cuz that was I was thinking of. THe Orthan I fought walked in and out of my BB taking damage.
However, with my other cleric, I had the whole immunity issue going in several favour quests. That was two days ago. Sorry for derailing.
well I am a cleric and as a cleric I got to say i dont need boots (boots of innocents), trinket (head of good fortune), raid shd and necklace (when i get them), raid armor or keep my elven crafted armor, weapons (good on), got dex bracers, reaver gloves, +6 cha cloak, poison immune of hvy fort belt, disease immune of gfl ring....
I guess the only thing I truely need is a helm. a helm of superior devotion 6, 7, or 8 plus superior healing lore (which would allow me to get those ethereal gloves) would rock. I suppose ;)
It's because Orthon use teleport which cause he leave the blade barrier without visible animation. It's break since mod 7 and never been addressed yet. Also we still don't see any sign for the timeline of mod 7.1 or any other *early* patch the Dev mention at the thread we post here about the bug of Blade Barrier. Actually it did has the same issue of Beared Devil.
I like this suggestion, and here's an idea for a cleric-oriented bit of raid loot (note - this is lighter armor as clerics may very well have a use for the Full Plate of the Defender - this is aimed at clerics who aren't after that one. This one may also be a tad overpowered - but nothing compared to the insane power level of the TWF goggles (Thrane's Goggles or whatever the Backstab +5 goggles are called)
Pious Wrappings
Padded Armor
Bind on acquire, ML 16
Alignment Required: Good (UMD 24 negates - note this is a deliberately unusual UMD DC)
Enhancement - +1
Fearsome
Greater Holy Guard - When you are struck in melee combat by an evil foe, that foe suffers 4d6 Good damage. (Note - this may sometimes be detrimental as it will make it harder for party members to take aggro off you)
Superior Devotion 7
Gift of the Stars - Lawful characters wearing this armor gain a +5 resistance bonus to all saving throws. Chaotic characters wearing this armor gain a permanent Freedom of Movement effect. Non-chaotic, non-lawful characters wearing this armor gain Superior Devotion 8.
Ugh. First thing that comes to mind: That would be the first raid loot that I know that has an Alignment requirement... so on top of it being a rare drop, you have to exclude any 'Non-Good' clerics from it. Non-cool suggestion there.
Second was: Why in the world make it a light armor? The only thing I could come up with was to make it Bard-Friendly. So I'm figuring that the idea guy for this likes raid loot that is cross class able.. Which is a good idea..
Now everything else about it is cool. I like the different abilities granted based on alignment. I'd actually like to see this concept used even more.
Lawful - gain a +5 resistance bonus to all saving throws
Neutral - gain Arcane Lore (What ever is on the Skiver)
Chaotic - gain a permanent Freedom of Movement effect
Good - gain Holy Guard
Neutral - gain Superior Devotion 8
yeah, agreed.
Almost all my clerics are lawful good (MUST REMEMBER TO CHANGE ALIGNMENT UPON CHARACTER CREATION!!) and wear heavy armour. Padded/chaoic good might be good for my chaotic good cleric/rogue, but the rest...
Can it be CLASS restricted? Isn't their items out there (or am I thinking of Tesyus) that are class only?
There are a couple of alignment required pieces of raid loot in the game. Not saying there should be more, just saying that the precedent is there.

Paladin only necklace.

There's other alignment-restricted raid loot too - stuff like Litany of the Dead and the Marilith Chain that has Taint of Evil on it.
I deliberately made it low-AC to balance the otherwise insane power level of the item - this isn't battlecleric armor. On most clerics, however, a +5 full plate is equivalent to a +1 padded armor - both result in getting hit 95% of the time by each and every endgame mob - the only time there is a real difference is when you have made serious sacrifices to boost your AC, or grabbed insane raid loot to do so.
30% Striding boots with featherfall? Lol that will get my cleric in that raid
Agree with the OP but featherfall boots as raid loot? Come on...
Out of curiosity is there any other clerics out there that are gunning for the glacial bracers and gloves set? Personally speaking I would really like to have both on my cleric.
Off topic but to address some of the other off topic posts above (:D):
Hot off the Developer Ninja News press...the multiple BB bug will be fixed in a yet to be announced update later this week. No specific word on the post-first entry damage bug yet. There are several posts addressing this and other scheduled bug fixes being leaked today in the Dev sig blocks (weird but true).
