No worries, 'Fire. I actually do understand his position. If I were in the same boat, I'd ask for the same rule.

Really upset that I missed it this year. Definately more so as I live in Indy. Just couldn't get away from work. Really hard to do in retail mgmt. However I can get it done next year, I WILL be there....I am not missing another one. And as far as the party is concerned. I would be more than happy to help with setup, etc.....and I agree, we should find a way to get some donations for you. From what I have been reading and seeing, it looked like a blast! And I for one am willing to chip in. :)
Gencon has no immediate intentions of moving away from Indy. The reasons are many fold. Good location. ICC expanding. Nice Hotels local. 'Middle area' of the US to draw from all 4 corners. And... Mr Gencon Adkins likes Indy.
The answer to this problem? Divorce!
The answer to this problem? DIVORCE! I do have an individual who may also be recently divorced if you require 'hooked-up-ness'. (See above.);)
Count me in. Wouldnt miss it. Merlask paid some cash out of her own pocket to get Jillians this year (did you think that the pizza and wings were free?) - and would be cool if we could get some fund going to cover that. Sure, too early to say for sure now, but it would be nice to have a private room and whatnot. Count me in for some fundage.
do you need donations i give some money
/sigh
I will not be going next year guys...
My 2nd kid is due July 4th and I am not geektastic enough to take a month and half old kid with me (or leave him/her with grandma for week.)
So everyone have fun, take MANY pictures, and bring me some gear!:D

I am thinking of going this year. I have never been to any kind of convention - so this should be interesting.

Ok update - I have ordered my tickets - have hotel and flight reservations already booked. Requested the time off from work as well.
Just got my badge. I'm down for help with whatever player get-together we might decide upon, too. Several others from the OSR are coming, so they need to post here to and let us know!
Prolly be there as well. I have some married friends only 6 blocks from the convention center. :D Nice to be able to stay close and not pay the inflated hotel rates during that time.
Why cant stuff like this be in New York, La, or Atlanta?!! grrrrrrr
Yeah, I'm going as is my wife Sarah and two good friends of ours. We've got a place to stay! Going to be great. I'm really familiar with Indy, having lived there for a number of years, so I can find some good eats-drinks!
I highly recommend you have your badges shipped TO YOUR HOME prior to going. Last year the lines for either purchasing a badge or even picking it up at will call stretched around the con by 4 blocks! Have your badges shipped! :D
Vizzini post about Turbine coming to San Diego got me to thinking. Is DDO going to be at Gencon this year ? It doesn't look like that Wizards of the coast is going to be there this year due to an on going law suite between Lucas and Gencon. The deal was that for Lucas to show up last year to Gencon, that Gencon was suppose to donate X amount $ to a charity. That didn't happen i guess. So, wizards is trying to stay out of it and they don't look like they are showing up (per their forum). Which is upsetting, since 4th ed is coming out and I wanted to check it out. So, does anyone know if DDO is going to be there or not ?
