Within the last few days I have seen people playing hard, trying their best in long, difficult fights, suffering quite a few deaths, and getting zero experience. None. I have seen people trying very hard get completely skunked on ingredients. I have seen the person leading the kill count get skunked on ingredients and almost no experience.
The developers need to publish the rules for challenge experience and ingredient payouts. The DDO-Wiki article on the subject is a mess. I know these rules exist to prevent power leveling. Fine. However, you really need to make the rules crystal clear so that low time players--good, hard working people--are not repeatedly skunked.
The Night Revels advertisement published by Standing Stone Games should be amended to include this information. Please. This matters.
Edit: To be clear, this post is not a complaint about legendary Night Revels not awarding experience. I know that is a bug, Lynnabel fixed it, and the repair will come soon, perhaps in the pending hot fix. Since joining a real guild, I am seeing things through new eyes. My intent here is to make everyone aware of a communication issue that, if resolved, would improve the play experience of numerous players.
