How does the loot drop work for The Mask of Deception?

There are 3 items in the quest, Blazing Sun lv18, Epic Blazing Sun and Mythic Blazing Sun both lv 26. I just ran the quest 5 times on EE with my main and an alt for extra and i got the heroic lv 18 blazing sun 3 times. I looked it up and the item isnt upgradeable so, wondering why I didnt get the epic verisons.

That drop in the quest has been bugged for quite some time.

Not sure why they never fixed it.

Well that doesn't sound right. Let us know if you ever pull the special mythic. There's been some doubt as to whether these few special mythics drop anymore.
