Sorry Brandon. See
here and
here. Yes, it would seem to the simple-minded that ESoS has "low dps" but it actually in fact has way MORE dps. Just because you might be confusing "low dps" with low damage numbers and not seeing the big flashy 5k's on the screen does not dispute the fact that it crits on 13-20 rather than 17-20. I've done extensive research to determine if it's more worthwhile than Riftmaker, and I wasn't exactly thrilled to find out it actually did trump the Riftmaker, in most cases... (I had to really do some grinding for the ESoS materials once I found out, thanks Seffora btw).
Also, define what you mean by "versatility"? I'm a barbarian, I see things and kill them with an axe or greatsword, not exactly sure how it could be more "versatile". Against your barbarian with more melee power and twf, yes you would do more single-target dps, however, when doing a two-man DoJ, you need that cleave splashing for all those mobs...maybe you can post one of your own videos some time on this, I'd be interested to see how much better your twf barb can perform. Besides it's easy stuff right? ;P
