Req Wraith Tank typ build

Hi again all im also looking for a wraith tank build of some type that will help with buffs and self healing
be able to use ranged and when mob gets close can dual wield melee them
able to knock(open doors) detect secret doors
some sort of cc possibly

so im thinking some type tank palemaster build for playing level 5 to endgame and doing some heroics, i have no tomes or tr's or any reincarnations
i also solo alot so need the healing immensely and dont wanna really too much on pots not sure if now theres a way to get healed when your hit

basically a tank who can self heal alot and can range/melee mobs while knocking doors buffing and detecting secret doors did i mention self healing? not ffond of dungeons only allowing healing shrine use 1x

For the purpose of this build, it depends on how you define a tank. Without a lot of gear and past life stuff, it's gonna be hard to create a character that you can walk into the room, AFK and make a sandwich, and come back to a living character, and this goes doubly for a wraith character (12 wizard levels cuts down on health and armor).

I tried to make a 12/6/2 Wizard/Ranger/Rogue back in the day and was less than impressed. It's doable if you want to play an extreme hybrid, but on the fragile side.

I'm currently playing a dex-based wraith swashbuckling and have very few issues surviving dungeons. The overall split is 13/5/2, relying primarily on evasion over mitigation. While not exactly what you're asking for (as it single-weapon fights rather than using TWF), it's otherwise pretty close.

The above stats are modified for a 28-point first-life build, which changes things a surprising amount via a Cha dump. 12 Int gets you enough skill points for elite trapping through 12 or so, and hard trapping after that.

Enhancements: Max out Swashbuckler, dip into EK for the SLA Shield and Mage Armors, get enough in PM for wraith, then toss the rest in Warchanter for extra defenses.

Healing: At level 10, you can use vampire form and Lesser Death Aura for low-grade healing over time. I stuck with a hireling until 13 (and avoided vamp), at which point I switched to Death Aura soloing. Feel free to take Wizard at 11, though this will delay Coup de Grace and Exploit Weakness until 13.

Epic Destinies: If this is a first-life toon, you'll want to start in Fatesinger, which is less than ideal, then swap over to Shadowdancer (decent given your dex basis, evasion, and the importance of crits) and ultimately end up in LD. My swash wraith is currently 16, so I can't confirm the effectiveness of various destinies, but either Shadowdancer or LD will be your best bet.


If this build doesn't sound like your kind of thing, try looking up a wraith monk build. If you want to wear heavier armor, you're going to need to be pretty selective with your gear to prevent a lot of ASF. The latter isn't unreasonable, so maybe a str-based sword-and-board Wizard/Fighter

Your BAB will be too low at level 18 to get GSWF! So you must wait until level 21.

Hi all thanx for advice i guess i should have mentioned i dont plan on going afk and fighting but want someone who can take multiple hits and while whittling away at mobs and would nicely self heal without spell healing which is why i was looking into wraith

Have you tried posting the request in the 'request a build--get a build thread'? Unbongwah is super knowledgeable.
Otherwise you can try wraith 12 (wizard) 8 fighter. But pale masters heal with death auras so it is not clear to me your goal.

Hello mate,

for my experience in "battle wizards" you don't have to sacrify too much your caster abilities for more melee power, because your strenght and survivability come more from having 18 levels of wizard and 2x instead of having 12/6x/2x. Also in this way you have access to harper tree and can use your int for damage instead of investing into too many different abilities.

I used to run my main 18wiz/2monk for extra feat and evasion. At the beginning he was THF but with the blitz change TWF is superior so I swapped to double axe/hammer wielder. The link down here is not completely updated but can be useful to give you an idea. I'm actually running with 60 int before pots and wearing medium armor for mitigation. Lich form is much better than wright for damage mitigation in my opinion but probably just when you are fully geared with max prr. CC comes from many many sources, you have access at all the wiz spells, best to fight in is ice storm+solid fog.
