So when did they kill the large guild health crystal?

So i'm TR'ing a toon after quite a while. As always, I crafted my starting gear on the old large guild slot items. It turns out that all of the large guild crystals are nerfed in some way or another. The health crystal doesn't work at all. I've tested this on 3 different toons. The large crystal of power is giving me 55 spell points instead of the stated 80. The large gem of reaction is giving me 1 will save instead of 1 reflex save. The large gem of balance is giving 3 balance instead of the stated 4.

Of course the one everyone loves, health, does nothing at all. Is this old news? I suppose we can't expect any fix for an extinct system.

Did you have Guildship buffs.
The old guild augments don't stack with ship guild buffs.

This ^

The HP buffs from the guild ship and the HP buffs from the guild crystals are both of the same type "guild" so they don't stack.
This is the normal rules of D&D buff types stacking - you get the greatest of each type

I had the impression they've wanted to phase out the old guild augment system since they discontinued it with the expansion of augments into non-epic gear. The guild ship buffs pass gave them the opportunity to make them non-stacking... problem solved without actually having to nerf anything, just proxy nerfed. I no longer bother with any of my old guild augment gear.

Thats about the size of it, a somewhat pointless nerf, making redundant a lot of perfectly good, carefully accrued gear.

Basically didn't fit in with FOS' "vision" for gear.
shame the guy couldn't see his hand in front of his face.
The only large slot I bother with these days is on lowbie crafted armour and stuff a large shield aug in there, somehow they forgot about that one.

The only guild crystals really worth using any more are Large and Medium Power. Ship amenity provides 25 SP, and Large Power crystal provides 80, so with Large Crystal you have 55 more. With Medium Power crystal you have 35 more.

Crystals which go into weapons for elemental damage may still be of slight use at low levels, since no ship amenity duplicates that effect.
