What you guys think of the concept? so far I actually have my toons up to 16 leveled accordingly and geared, 20 in progress, 24 is a long way to go.
I really REALLY love the feels of these dudes. I know, most use the pre-build path, tweaking with fred here and there when they actually fix Fred.

Hi,
Once upon a time, when I was an altoholic, I did the very same thing: made sure I had a set of characters at different levels so that no matter which other guild member wanted to run something, I had a character that could help, with never an over-level or power-levelling penalty. (I even had a spreadsheet to make sure all levels were always covered.)
I never used the "training" idea, and I'm not clear what you mean by it. And all of my characters were different races and classes.
Anyway, as the guild changed and I started focusing on 2-3 toons I had to give this up.
If it works for you and your guild, then great!

well, i called them trainers instead of adventurers or mercenaries because they are there specifically to 'help' guildies or friends, to help them train (get exp) and learn w/e they need to know, also as arties they can cover about anything from secret doors, to runes, to traps, so people can learn about quest details and optionals and stuff.
Adventurers want to level up, these toons won't, mercenaries charge for help and whoever offer most get the contract yet these toons are for guildies 1st. They are the guild's dedicated trainer squad! ^^
even their surname:
lvl 1 is Newbie trainer
lvl 4 is Recruit trainer
lvl 8 is Veteran trainer
lvl 12 is Champion trainer
lvl 16 is Heroic trainer
lvl 20 is Epic trainer
the toons are actually all leveled up and geared decently except lvl 20 wich is 18 atm

If you have the character slots I think its a fine idea. I have a spread of characters and know someone in my guild who does this also.
