Tested and Confirmed Stuff from U15 Beta Release Notes

Character Copy was not wiped so I was only able to test a few things that interest me. Keep reading if you'd like to hear confirmations about:

* Madstone Rage buff allowing clickies/potions to be used afterwards? YES
* Fire Shield (fire) web immunity not expiring prematurely? YES
* The Snitch - Garos not being buffed before the fight? YES
* Ablative Armor absorbs force damage? YES
* Warforged Healer's Friend working properly? BROKEN. Hasn't changed from live version.
* Shield (spell) magic missile immunity not expiring prematurely? YES

SUCCESS - Madstone Rage IS allowing other clickies/potions to be used afterwards

I'm particularly happy that they finally buffed this. Madstone Rage now works with ALL clickies and potions even if you use them afterwards. I don't have epic levels on lamaland so I can't test stuff like Primal Scream, but my gut tells me that it's also fixed.

Screenshot shows a very simple test where I cast Madstone Rage followed by Titan's Grip. It works. I also tested the following clickies/potions and they all worked:

Blinding Flash (from Everbright weapon)
Deathward
Displacement
Fire Shield (cold)
Fire Shield (fire)
Good Hope
Greater Heroism
Haste
Invisibility
Jerky (from Pouch of Jerky)
Kobold Teleporter (from the House C challenges)
Kobold Torch (from the House C challenges)
Madstone Rage (yes you CAN recast it while the buff is active :D)
Nightshield
Polar Ray
Potion of Blindness Removal (vendor)
Potion of Curse Removal (vendor)
Potion of Disease Removal (vendor)
Potion of Fear Removal (vendor)
Potion of Lesser Restoration (vendor)
Potion of Paralysis Removal (vendor)
Potion of Poison Neutralization (vendor)
Prayer
Rage
Stoneskin
Teleport
Titan's Grip (from Gloves of Titan's Grip)
Turn the Page (from Litany of the Dead)
All the old potions that worked before... including Guild pots, SF pots, Yugoloth pots, etc.

In addition to this, they fixed the tooltip for Barbarian Fast Movement. Yay!

SUCCESS - Fire Shield (fire) web immunity not expiring prematurely

Very simple test. Cast Fire Shield (fire) from my Epic Helm of the Red Dragon and watched it tick down. The web immunity now correctly lasts exactly as long as the buff itself. Combat log confirms what I'm saying. Good job fixing that.

SUCCESS - Garos can no longer be buffed before the final fight in The Snitch

Screenshot shows me casting Good Hope, an AoE buff, and the icon only appears above my head. Examining Garos after the cast also shows that he never received the buff.

SUCCESS - Ablative Armor now absorbs force damage

Again, pretty simple test. Went into Graverobber on Elite and cast the buff. Blocked 50 force damage from the trap at the beginning. Combat log clearly shows this in the screenshot. Very nice boost to what was once a nearly useless buff at endgame.

FAIL - Warforged Healer's Friend hasn't changed from the bugged version on live

The AP cost is incorrectly the same as on live: 2/4/6 AP. The description hasn't changed either. It still lists +15%/20%/25% for ranks 1-3. First screenshot clearly shows this.

Second screenshot shows my testing of the actual healing amp using the lvl 14 cleric hireling Beleth Voric. Now she heals exactly 140 HP to a fleshie with 100% healing amp. When I used heal on my WF with Healer's Friend rank 3, she healed exactly 88 HP. That number doesn't correspond to an 80% heal amp or even to a 75% heal amp. You wanna know how you get that number? You multiply 140 * .5 * 1.25 just like how the BROKEN Healer's Friend works right now on U14.2 live. Looks like Turbine lied to the WF community.

SUCCESS - Shield (spell) magic missile not expiring prematurely

Pretty simple test. Cast Shield (spell) from a wand on an Artie who can go over the minimum 5 min duration and watched it tick down. The magic missile immunity now correctly lasts exactly as long as the buff itself. Combat log confirms what I'm saying. Good job fixing that.

One little thing that might need a fix is the description doesn't mention that the spell also reduces grazing hit damage taken by -10%. The buff icon on the hotbar does mention this though.

Those are some good tests you did there and providing screen shots as proof as well.

Question from me on the madstone rage:
- Can you "cast" a torch inside a challange while madstone raged?
- Can you cast a spell from an item or drink a potion while Barbarian raged?
- Do the rage spell, madstone rage and barbarian rage stack?

- Yup. You can cast torches and teleporters while madstoned. I'll edit the OP to include that info.
- Well sort of... You can't use clickies or the vendor potions I listed while Barbarian Raged. But you CAN use all other potions in the game including guild versions of those potions, silver flame, resist 20, alchemical, yugoloth, and so on.
- Yup. They all stack. The +2 will save bonus from Rage (spell) doesn't stack with Barbarian Rage because it's morale-typed, but that's very minor.

Yup! It gives MM immune for as long as the spell lasts. Just like Fire Shield (hot). I know this because my artie can make the wand last 5:22 mins instead of 5:00. The combat log is usually reliable for these things too. I used it to test the bugged Protection From Evil effect on stuff like Mornelode Armor and Silver Flame Talisman, then comparing them to Fragment of the Silver Flame, then running out and testing it in combat. And the messages about immunity applying or not applying are always correct.

there is the possibility that the WF thing its a display bug only BUT i really doubt of, but this is a serious matter, so it will come for sure on u15(future build versions of lamma)

It is also possible that you have to reset your enhancements and re-buy the healers friend line to get the new effects. I didn't see if you tried that or not in your post, but if you didn't, might be something to try.

Thanks for this post, +1 when I can!

It's posts and people like you that make these forums the most valuable place to hear about the newest "fixes"..

And yes, healer's friend is still broken, dev confirmed.
Though it IS supposedly in the version that they haven't released yet, and is supposed to be slated for U15, as stated.

If someone has a Monk on Lamaland checking to see what monk abilities work with madstone would be awesome. In general it blocks most everything a light monk can do as well as some of the GMoF abilities on live. I could give out a full list of what currently does not work but most monks with madstone boots probably know my frustrations as well.

I'm not on Lamaland but I'm just wondering if anyone has tested the Duergar Axe from Rusted Blades yet? I have 2 of these on Sarlona and I'm looking forward to being able to use them, but currently they equip one handed but the animation is for 2 handed.

Does Madstone prevent Primal Scream? Can someone please test this. It shouldn't, but in live it currently does.
