Improved Martial Arts Question

I took Improved MA on my Monk and was wondering if the increased base damage stacks with the Epic Destiny Enhancement that also increases damage.

Here is what I have so far....

Improved MA = +1
Three levels of the Epic Destiny = 1.5

Am I looking at a 2.5 increase or did I just waste a feat?

They should stack (the whole same name thing is coincidence).
