Helping the server after next update

Hi
This is my idea after the update comes out. I have a total of 8 characters that will be TRing after the update and would like to try something that will help the community a little. I am going to be trying to run sessions throughout the lvling experience.With each session taking 1 hour as that is a good amount of time for one group to stay together. i was wondering as most players might be thinking about TRing after update if anyone would like to help me with this project when the time comes. Some of my characters still need to lvl and some are on there greensteel timers so this will not happen till after till after the update. So here is kind of a rubric for how it will go.

Rules:
-Plan to invest 1 hour in each session.
-One session per week.
-Time on would be friday between 4-10 mountain time.
-All quest done on elite for streaking.
-Characters in lvl range to continue streak.
-Balanced party whenever possible.If interest in project is slow hirelings will do up to lvl 10 then i would like to make sure we stay clear of them.
-No completing quest till all party members are inside quest unless they are gone for more then 5 minutes.(as i will be trying to keep it strickly under 1 hour each session.People are busy)

Not to complicated of rules. I will be usually running most of my tr's through there session on friday to make as many groups as possible for each session. But might complete a couple between the friday sessions. And some quest might be repeated for loot(shroud way down the rode) or simple cause i love them(tears-most likely as many runs as can be made in a hour). Any time I repeat you do not have to come as some poeple try to keep to one quest one time.

Character rules for joining
-In lvl range for streaking
-A cleric or favored soul must be able to heal. whatever else u do is fine but u have to be able to heal when necessary.You would be surprised how many times ive heard "im not a healer"
-A trapper must be able to do traps.i have played a rogue of each kind and it can be done with min amount of resources or time invest to do it.

I will also make sure to make at least one break with ever session for bio,gear repair,bank run, ship buffs(hopefully this will be the timer for each seesion though), ingredients, whatever really. Were not robots and we need this sort of breaks. The breaks will last no longer then 5 minutes though as each session is shooting for under a hour.

I will also be trying to breakdown gear that might be needed for each session on the forums. I will also be putting a quick breakdown of the schedule ever week with a breakdown of the xp per quest minimum and a total for each session.

as this is alittle ways of i don't need to have anyone claim a spot but it is never a bad thing to get ready for the future.

My goal is to have 4-6 sessions every friday night so that if u miss the 4-5 session or group got filled fast that there is another group starting after. Id like to have couple experinced players to help with this project so we might help other players on are server and make them better gamers which makes are server better. I am by no means a xp grinder or loot running or elitist. Xp will come no matter what even for a tr and this life for my characters is not about a race but rather a nice pace. Loot can come between lives. This doesn't mean i am against loot running but im not going to make it a huge priority this life.

i am a vip so i will be running p2p quest and chains. If anyone has any comments or ideas feel free to post. throughout the couple months till the update ill be trying to post breakdowns of the first few sessions and yes even korthos will be done even though tr's can solo them id rather play in a group. It is my goal though to do korthos in one session though as it will get old.

i thought they made pots for healing... arent clerics and fvs better for baldebarriering?

yes after the expansion. and yes most characters should be able to self heal for the most part. I am not asking healers to baby sit. I am just asking that they know how to heal and can heal in a jam. If someone were in the group unable to stay alive for 5 seconds then no dont's waste your time but just don't tell me you cant heal when that is your job. A cleric that "cant" heal,a trapper that "cant" get the traps, a fighter that "cant" fight is useless.Not that you "have" to, just asking that you can. A cleric that can heal,cast dps, and some what melee is like solid gold. Ill take the bronze healer, the one that can heal, if i get a silver or gold healer great.

You say you don't but your post cries I need a babysitter
Sure a divine spell caster should be able to toss a well timed cure/heal to keep the party going but as a TR, you should have the means to mitigate damage, top up between fights and have the situational awareness to avoid compromising positions. If you want someone to follow and spam heal, get a hireling. If you want someone to contribute, keep people up and speed up completion - get a competent divine.

I have capped a few divines, and so many people expect you to have a bag full of scrolls and wands to keep their hazardous play style going, even though you are able to mitigate and take most of the damage they still think you should be relegated to hiding in the back and curing them while the quest takes 3 times longer to complete and a lot more consumables are used.

Buy stacks of cure pots and lots of wands before you tr. Too many people do not realize that most healing up to levels 10 and 11 can be done by wands, wands usable by pallies, fvs, clr, rangers and bards(if fleshie). Arti, wiz or sorc if you're robotic. If you have 1 level of any of the 5 classes that can cast cure serious wounds, you can use the wand no fail.

I understand your response and you are correct as a tr i do not need a healer up to lvl 10 outside of when i play a barbarian and even then its just more of a time saver but that doesn't go for everyone. And when this project will also be targeted to help new starting players it is wise to have a healer as i teach them how to be self reliant. I would love to discuss clerics and what to expect from them on a different thread if you like but if you would please let this one just be for this project i would appreciate it. If your want to send me a pm to the thread name you would which to discuss this further i would be happy to do so. If you even want me to start one i can. All i ask is that this thread doesn't get all about clerics as that is not its purpose. Thank you for the interest.
