Is anyone having issues of getting auto logged off. Half the time I got to post something it fets lost because it asks me to log on when I was already logged on to begin with.

Is anyone having issues of getting auto logged off. Half the time I got to post something it fets lost because it asks me to log on when I was already logged on to begin with.
Its a new feature they added :rolleyes: yeah its a huge pain hopefully they will adjust it soon.
I did yesterday when on the forums. Then I logged into MyDDO once. Logged into the Forums once more and have been good now for 16 hours and I've restarted my browser a few times.
Not sure if its related, but that's what I went through.
Yah, I'm having the same exact issue! I thought maybe it's because I'm using the WiFi outside Home Depot while trying to pick up some work. You must have gotten picked up early, Eric, because I don't see you out here. :D
Yup, certainly one of the most annoying changes to the forums...in it's history.
Was wondering if it was just me. TY for the heads up all.
Worked for me too : go to myddo, log out if needed, check the 'Remember me' box and log back in. You'll stay logged on forums after doing this.Quote:

I tried to edit an older post (pre forum crash) and got just an html editpost php page or something like that when I tried to save my edit. I figured there was something wrong with the older posts, so i created a new post and when I saved it I got the same thing.
Something in my syntax from the formatting bar above (bullets, colors, etc?) seem to not be accepted anymore. Anyone have a better idea of what is currently not being allowed?
Yeah its about 5 mins inactivity then auto log out.
I'm living with it assuming it's a security measure
They do this with applications at work sometimes. If the period is too small then we create scripts to keep things active and we can remain logged in. If the period is a sensible one (eg a certain app you may visit once or twice a day for 10 mins of work with a 20min log out) then it's ok.Quote:

Yep, me too. And what's even worse is if you go to post something and get directed to a login screen that never works so you have to enter your login and pswd twice. I think that this is a new idea from Turbine, like the challenges. They've added the new fun extra "login game" to the forums. Personally, I love it and am waiting to get the first of my 2013 different "tokens" that I can use in the forum crafting machine to craft forum stuff. Now I only need to relogin another 6000 times to make my first Tier1 forum super item. At this rate it won't taketoo long... T

Seems to work fine as a workaround fix.
i've had this happening to me way before the curent update.
i just deal with it.
