How the mechanics of Concentration apply..

Hey,

From the wiki I can tell that Concentration checks to see if you keep casting your spell are a d20 + your concentration score vs. 10 + damage received + level of spell your casting.

How does Invulnerability and other DR factor into this? If I'm a favored soul and walking around with a DR/15 Adamantine, does that DR effect the target number I have to hit? or is it raw damage before any mitigation that is used in the calculation?

Unless there's something wonky going on, it should be the actual damage you take after DR/resistances.

^^ This. Only the actual red number that pops above your head will factor into your concentration checks. So, in a roundabout sort of way any sort of damage reduction is very similar to +concentration vs. Physical attacks.

Thanks for the info! So the Blocking DR and the innate resistance from the Shield Mastery feat both would apply to ease the concentration check requirements. Excellent :)
