Just what is the odds of a pally or a monk hitting their smite or ki strike just as double strikes goes off?
Wouldn't that basically be your double strike % ? Since your smite or ki strike is an attack...
um 10% with zeal...
Currently... about 100% ;)
After they fix it. 10% of the time when you have zeal running.
And about 8% of the time you will get a twf off hand attack as well (triple strike) if you have GTWF.
If you have a monkadin (Pal14/Monk6) that will be:
Double strike 15% of the time and triple strike 12% of the time.

yeah Im a noob :D took my brain awhile to wrap around this one but out of 100 attacks the chance that you hit a ki strike or smite the same time double strike proced would be 10% chance.

I think what twoton meant was if the doublestrike happens, and you activate an ability on the attack granted by double strike, would it trigger a 'third-strike'? Seeing as you can use combat feats/special attacks later in the attack chain (they don't always have to be the first attack) would this be possible?
That would depend if there is any data communication going on in between the regular strike and the double strike, which would allow the activation of a smite in between the two events. I doubt it, but maybe it's possible.Quote:
