etnering the powercreep is bad, so it was the right thing to do

the same thing applies to why twf got nerfed and not just thf buffed

and its not said that xuum didnt change either

give it two red slots if its going to lose a crit multiplier

and yet noone complains about that, only about the twf nerf and that then eSoS makes thf better

theres an entire thread just for the THF nerf. I dont see a TWF one outside of the huge thread by eladrin (mostly b/c everything was closed down n told to move there EXCEPT for the THF one)

Well, it wasn't nerfed all that badly, at least. At least I won't feel like an idiot when I finally complete mine.

Over 60 ev6 runs and I have yet to pull or roll for the shard I need. Guess I don't have that to sell-out grind for anymore...

woot a ~30% nerf. that slightly higher base damage really makes up for that

If it was up to me I'd give it back 4x crits on a natural 20, just for the symbolism of getting the biggest number onscreen.

i wonder if it's gonna be a retroactive nerf?

It will still be a nice weapon, the nerf could have been a lot worse. I, personally, thought it was a little outrageous how much the its DPS was dependent on critical hits.

Diversity? In DDO?

Nah, no one beelining for Epic SoS just invalidates the primary remaining reason to run epics. Hey, at least the token nerf isn't getting in your way...

And yes, unless he went and made a new Epic SoS on the test servers it is retroactive.

So let's review.

In auto crit situations (most of epic) you get x3... exactly what you would get with any old greataxe. Improvement of epic DPS = minimal.

Outside of epic, with the loss of a substantial amount of damage you'd probably be better off just using a Min 2.
