Is Anything Happening?

Okay, so, I clicked on the normal resolution download link, then ran the install program. Nothing seemed to happen, so I saved the "DDOStandard" thingamajig to my desktop and tried installing it that way. Every time I click on it, an error message pops up that says there's already an active instance running. I don't see anything on my toolbar that tells me DDO is running. It's been about 4 hours since I tried to install, and the thing said it's supposed to take 3. ***? Should I just blow up my computer? What's going on? Can I use my pre-Mod 3 discs to load DDO? Someone please help

If you get a message saying that its already running, check Task Manager.

You do this by either right clicking on the background of your Taskbar and select "Task Manager", or hold down Ctrl+Alt and then press Delete and select it.

Now go to the "Processes" tab on the Task Manager window that appears and you'll probably find it listed, click on it to highlight it and click the "End Process" button at the bottom.

Now try starting it again. If you're Windows Vista or Windows 7, start it by right clicking on the icon and select "Run as Administrator".
