Request for Functionality - Tavern Log off

In an acknowledgement that I am sometimes too lazy I would like to suggest a potential new game function. Just a rough though that probably needs some polish.

Generally when I am ready to log off a character I run to the nearest tavern, talk to the bar keeper, repair, wait for my clickies to regenerate and log out. Unless of course I need to quickly log onto another character than I usually forget to do parts of that. This of course is a challenge for a lazy bum like me when I suddenly go to click on a click only to discover my ______ hasn’t regenerateded and I am going to die because of it.

After dying while soloing on a Paladin because I forgot to regen my LoH got me to thinking what if all the functionality could be rolled into one function.

I walk into a Tavern and request a room. The room fee is 100GP, plus the cost of repairing. If I except the game logs me out. When I log back in on that character the clickies have regenerated, my gear is repaired and I am ready to go out adventuring.

I like this idea quite a bit, actually. It would add a bit more flavor to the game, and be a good way to know that your character will be rested & ready when you log back in.

I like it. Add to it tavern-speed logouts in common areas.

Although I think this should be free in game, I wouldn't mind paying a nominal fee, plus the costs of repairs and stuff. If there was a fee, it might have to be scaled for new players/characters, as brand new players (ie not veterans rerolling alts) will ahve very limited funding until the get the hang of things.

Maybe the repair costs could be discounted based upon the length oftime you were logged out?

how about having various different rooms that depending on the price of the particular room, would not only rest and restore hp/sp but repair a certain amount of item damage as a percentage

the higher the priced room that you choose, the more your item gets repaired while resting

I was more thinking that the cost would be based upon level, (Square of the Level in Gold) but figured might be too difficult to explain the concept.

Level 1 - 1GP
Level 2 - 2GP
Level 3 - 9GP
......
Level 18 - 324GP
Level 19 - 361GP
Level 20 - 400GP

Quite like this idea

It's an interesting idea, but I would rather have the devs focus on fixing bugs that have been in the game forever and/or new content than something like this. When we have 20 levels, half-orcs, half-elves, druids, guild housing, and an abundance of content this will be a great project!
