Problems Logging in
Ok heres the issue.
I open the launcher, put in my password, username is saved. I select account, and select server... then nothing.
Nothing, no error, no loading bar nothing... the launcher stays open and the little dragon head is there with the news but where you log in and select server is just a black space. If I just leave it open and wait, it will eventually take me back to the log in screen where I put in my password.
Any thoughts?

So i fiannly did get an error after letting it sit through 5 retries of logging in....
The following web error occurred while trying to access _https://gls.ddo.com/GLS.AuthServer/Service.asmx_ (https://gls.ddo.com/GLS.AuthServer/Service.asmx): The underlying connection was closed : could not establish secure channel for SSL/TLS.
So I went to the tech suppot and tried all the things suggested to help and nothing there helps. Any other ideas?

Are you currently able to open and view web pages through Internet Explorer (regardless of your default browser settings).
-
Yes I am. I am about to open ports, despite the FAQ saying I didn't have to and that not being a suggested resolution to my specific problem.
-
Opening ports did not help. :(

Have you tried the instructions in this Knowledge Base article:
http://turbine.fuzeqna.com/ddo.suppo....asp?kbid=2049
-
Yes I did, I stated that in my second post. I tried everything the knowledge base suggested asides from reinstalling windows XP which to be honest seems a little excessive. I repaired/reinstalled IE, all the settings to default, opened ports... the list goes on.
One thing I did notice, when I went to the link that it tries to connect to, the one it gives me an error about, it gives me a runtime error. Not sure if thats significant or what, as I don't really know much about it, just thought I would throw that out to you.
-
Are you using a proxy or any sort of Webproxy software?
Have you been able to connect in the past, or did this just start occurring recently?
-
No proxy of any kind. I was able to login relatively easy until last night. Then it took me an hour to log in after i had some chat server issues, and not at all today.

Ok so after trying so many different things we figured out the problem.
File sharing programs/torrents. My boyfriend and I tried everything until he decided we should try shutting off everything and then turning them back on one by one to find out what was causing the block. Turns out that it was a file sharing program on his computer not mine. I shut off everything trying to figure it out. Thanks for trying to help though, might be a good idea to update your FAQ to include trying something like this.
