Hey, I played a lot of inqu builds, mostly

12 rog/6rang/2arty (sturdy, sneak attack with sniper shot)
15 alch/3rang/2rog (imbue build, nice alch buffs/boosts/heals)
18 alch/2arty (best heals/buffs/boosts)

what seems to be better now? concentration on sneak attacks or imbues? Guess SA better for partyplay, imbues for solo...

would be happy to hear some experiences!

I use 9 Ranger, 7 Rogue and 4 Arti (Swims old ish racial build just with a bunch of tweaks).

"Better" for what?

Swimms' build was designed for RR's, intentionally front-loaded for fast leveling to 20*, rinse and repeat. (And there's another that is even more extreme, Slarden's Arti/Monk/fighter iirc.)

(* well, practically speaking, only to 18, which is really most all that matters for a Reincarnation build)

Otoh, if you're talking about something to go to 30 and park, for maximum end-game power (and you just don't care if it levels slower), that might be something entirely diff, like in this discussion: https://forums.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/538086-Inquisi-Build-Help-For-Returning-Player?p=6579613&viewfull=1#post6579613

if it´s only for racials/pls´s

try 6 arti. 1 full bab class + 6 arti + whatever. easy range gaming.. I honestly cringe when I see other splits for pl´s. but hey I can only show people to the water not make them drink it.

Well good point. Generally I play 1-30 and just stay at 30 for some big Reaper-quests, but no real endgame-play.

Guess I just want to know, if the imbue change is a real gamechanger...and if its maybe stupid, NOT to take the max imbue route.

As a rule of thumb, assuming you are using Law on your Side imbue, 1 imbue die is roughly equal to ~ 5 ranged power.
So there isn't much benefit in trading say 15 rp for 3 imbue dice, etc.
They are just another variable in the equation.

Zactly.

To be a slave to max your imbues at the cost of other obvious benefits would be a mistake. Grab them if they're not too much of a detour from an otherwise proven build, but don't fixate on them.

Lots of pre-imbue builds work great without worrying about them. (Perhaps b/c they get some imbues accidentally, but point is no absolute need to change just because).

15 Artificer 3 ranger 2 rogue
10 sneak attack die
26 or 28 imbue dice (can't remember exactly and can't log in to verify)
Deady/int. hit from Harper +damage from arti spell
Base weapon damage (self-buffed) 170.25

lets my 3rd string alt hang tough with the big boys

They fixed or nerfed imbues. this is . more or less - a trap build.

What was fixed/nerfed with imbues? IMHO, alc 15/ranger 3/rogue 2 is a very nice imbue inquis build... can get 42+ bonus imbue dice.

Prism stance; Stay X procs. My guesstimate is around 50%. (also noticed this imbue 'nerf' on other non-ranged builds i.e. Thorn mantle in Primal used to be absurdly good..)

I still like 18 Wiz/2 Arti, both for leveling and for cap. Passive heals are insane (especially now with the Reaper heal buff), you can CC adequately, undead immunities, and good DPS for anything outside raiding

8 wiz/2 arti/10 XX for a template build. Same as above, just give up some imbue dice and healing efficacy (but still plenty for 1-20)

9/2/9 works for 8 classes (not including Wiz and Arti). Gets you a pair of L5 spells (even if just "utility" Teleport, defense of (near-max) Protection from Elements, or the no-Save CC spell Waves of Fatigue).
