What are the numbers? How does it scale?
Thanks in advance!

A couple weeks back gorocz posted (https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/517566-U47-Preview-2-New-Universal-Enhancement-Tree-Feydark-Illusionist?p=6354777&viewfull=1#post6354777) the numbers for the summoned version of illusory blades. Lynnabel confirmed that damage benefits from Force Spell Power, I believe at 100%. People complained that even with all that it doesn't keep up as a reasonable attack style at higher Epic levels. Presumably, melee power is irrelevant, barring the use of EK's Synergetic Magic (https://ddowiki.com/page/Synergetic_Magic).
For the equipped version, where you use your own swords, I have not read that there is any scaling. Basically it is an Enchant Weapons (https://ddowiki.com/page/Enchant_Weapons) spell that coverts the damage type to Force. I would assume that means it also acts as a ghost touch weapon, but I haven't confirmed it myself. If SP scaling was included, that should make the spell quite useful, but I haven't seen anything to indicate that's in the works.
One (very) minor benefit for Enchant Weapons is if you have a way to make your weapon a Spellcasting Implement (https://ddowiki.com/page/Spellcasting_Implement), it grants an additional +3 Universal Spell Power, e.g., EK's Imbue the Blade (https://ddowiki.com/page/Imbue_the_Blade). As an implement bonus it stacks with equipment SP bonuses, but not with augments. At least, it didn't used to. You'll notice that the summoned version awards significant SP scaling, but I haven't read any confirmation that this works with the equipped version. In my opinion it should. More, there's no confirmation concerning what type of SP bonus is awarded: equipment, implement, or otherwise?
If not, AoV's Just Reward turns a favored weapon (https://ddowiki.com/page/Favored_weapon) into an implement, as does War Priest/War Soul's Righteous Weapons, but of course, they require access to favored weapons. I don't know if the equipped version of Illusory Weapons is limited to short swords, or it works on other weapon types. Short swords are tough since there's so few ways to make them into favored weapons other than playing a Drow and choosing Vulkoor as your deity, or securing a Blade of the Clouds (https://ddowiki.com/page/Item:Blade_of_the_Clouds). Worse, the only scaling for the Enchant Weapons + Favored Soul path is via enhancement expenditures.
Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

A lot of this is incorrect. Here's some more collected info to sum up the stuff I've said in the preview threads:
The summoned Shadowblades are physical, equipped weapons and scale with Melee Power, not spellpower. They do, however, do Force damage which bypasses certain types of DR because of its lack of physical damage component (similar to Celestia). They do not scale with Force Spellpower - the shadowblade Spells do, though, as they're Force Spells and shoot cool purple force projectiles. The imbue by Shadow also does not make your equipped weapon pierce Incorporeality, nor does it make it deal Force damage like the conjured blades. It does, however, make the item immune to durability loss due to rust or ooze. It also makes your weapon an implement if it isn't already. There's no weird bonus typing on that - it just flips the implement switch.
Hope this helps!

It does. I apologize for any confusion I may have caused. I didn't have time to do a full search on your posts, and it shows. Thanks so much for the clarifications!
So, no conversion to spell power rather than melee power for the summoned version? Too bad, that would be a nice gish build bonus.
Another question for me though is how Spell Power is affected for the equipped version (Imbue by Shadow?). Does this spell award the scaling SP bonus that the summoned version has, or if not, at least the +3 Universal SP/implement bonus peculiar to Enchant Weapons? It looks like you're saying no? It's not entirely clear to me.

Of course, anytime. I'm always happy to help. There's always a ton of info floating around, particularly in threads with... wow, 438 posts. That's probably why it's hard to keep everything straight, lol. And yes, both the conjured shadowblades and the shadowblade imbue works with the existing Implement stuff. It just makes the enchanted weapon an implement - and the Implement system takes it from there. The conjured blades are naturally implements, though.

and shoot cool purple force projectiles.
As this is my favourite colour since childhood (and people having this as their favourite coloiur seem to be VERY rare), I had always hoped for a "purple Fairy Fire" version like that one which comes with the Night Revels broomstick (or how it is called).
I don't remember anymore whether Drow also have a purple version of it, but I think it would be nice to have such a spell colour as a regular thing. I had hoped that this would happen with the Feydark Illusionist, but I haven't seen no sign of it so far ( I couldn't test it on Lamannia ).

Would be cool if they did scale with force spellpower. Then they would be more of a battle wizard weapon and it would synergise more with the tree itself. It would probably turn out a bit too overpowered, though :D

Does Familiar Flourish work on bucklers too?

Any chance the weapon imbue would scale with level? Maybe something like magic fang.
Also while I'm here. What is the lore behind getting cha for hit and damage in the FI tree? I know I haven't played pen and paper since AD&D in the early nineties but illusionist was an int based class back then. I would think that Harper tree would be better for cha to hit and damage and FI intelligence. Just a thought. Any comments are welcome.

One of my guildmates tested the CHA to-hit and dmg. It doesn't seem to apply to shields.

Thank you! It's a pity, though.
