I have not reset the Grim Barricade tree this life yet and now at level 17 it's 326k plat to reset the tree. Does this not reset on reincarnation? This is getting ridiculous. This entire life I think I've only reset the Dread Adversary and just twice... at 10 and 15.

Holy smokes, that's a lot. I guess resetting a specific reaper enhancement tree is only dedicated to the super rich, but that's just me talking. I kinda agree with you on that, it shouldn't be that much.

Those cost are insane! There's no reason resetting any tree should cost that much. With cost like these it's no wonder people charge millions in plat for common random loot.

usually frequent reset lead high cost but I dun understand why the plat cost isn't capped to a certain level say 10k plat.
why penalize player for resetting enhancement tree n so on, new players suffer even more since they may not have much plat to begin with.

I believe that this is a good thing, and that the cost is not too high. Having a platinum sink in-game is a standard feature for RPGs, one that has been neglected far too long for DDO (my opinion, of course).

As to it being too expensive for a new player (as mentioned by situationalWizzy): I don't think that a new player would have the quantity of reaper points that you have, so I don't find that argument persuasive. By the time a new player has leveled 1-20 the first time, he/she is likely to be swimming in platinum just from selling the junk. Even more for the new player who has accumulated 2 million reaper XP.

Cheers!

You mentioned you reset it Twice this Life Levels 10 & 15.

How much time has elapsed between the resets? Do you recall how much it was at 10 & 15?

If it works similar to enhancement trees the price is based on how often and how many points. The goal is to make it an option but make it restrictive enough that you are not resetting between every quest.

Why is it important to prevent people from resetting often? Most of the well designed MMOs of this era allow this (and allow it free of charge), and it is a very good quality of life feature I have yet to see any complaints about in any other game.

well it IS reaper so......

That is kind of steep, but it's platt, our global economy is almost meaningless with shards in the game.

yeah it sucks when you are playing a class that starts one way then you get a certain level and respec because the power of the caracter shifts from one style to another

A reset doesn't have to be for free but personally everything that surpasses 100k is ridiculous.
The alternative is, save on points until you hit the level to spend them. That would be even worse, imo.

SSG loves to balance things around duping. I view it as yet another community management failure.

I don't think that a new player would have the quantity of reaper points that you have

Not to mention the average new player wouldn't have a real reason to be playing on Reaper unless that's the only way they can find a group. Anyone who would be concentrating on Reaper in any seriousness would most likely have a couple of TRs under their belt, so they'd have the combined resources of several lives to draw on to pay that plat cost. :D

Yeah, 2 million RXP but dont have any plat? Come off it. In my time Ive probably given away 10 million or more plat, because there really is nothing to spend it on.

I have 22 points. I will see how much it costs me to reset when I get on tonight.

That is ridiculously costly and should be lowered by a lot.

Its way too pricey, how ridiculous! It should be lowerd!

However, for the time save your points until you need to use them, this was you save plat by not having to reset

This is just more pointlessness. It shows bad judgment in design. Add in the reaper mode "adjustment" with the "cheap out" of ones ability to self heal? Lazy game development pure and simple. Quit with the NONSENSE and fix issues like failure to increment kill totals on a toon when using one of your slayer xp potions. We pay for those mostly and are getting cheated.

Hell work on the lag why don't you?

You folks (dev)s are breaking more game features than you're developing.

I realize your mantra is "bring in more $$ regardless" but the more stuff you bork up the faster folks like me stop paying.

first do no harm when developing, just concentrate on fixing the many ills you've brought about since Turdbin left you with this mess.

Not spending more $$ till you fix things.
