Ah. Well, it was so lost, no one else had it posted in guides, programs, or wikis. And I know I definitely couldn't find it. Heck, it wasn't even in the first page of this thread when I checked. I thought it was odd no one had posted. So thanks for posting it first! Just wish I could have found it.
Well, it was posted on the EU forums. :p (Being a smartass here. Didn't know it myself.)

Getting +2 str would lead to this (http://www.iro.umontreal.ca/~delallea/ddo/shroud/cgi-bin/shroud.cgi?forced=&craft=0&effects=flaming,__shocking,exc_str_2&item=item&altar=3&weapon=scimitar&pref=exc_str_2,0).
If you click the "how to craft" link you'll see that the 3rd step has an alternate recipe, this is because you can use either water or negative, it won't make any difference.
Do not waste time on a dual shard upgrade since W+N won't give you anything (because you went F and A in the first two steps - the only tier 3 special effect you could get would be smoke screen (http://www.iro.umontreal.ca/~delallea/ddo/shroud/cgi-bin/shroud.cgi?forced=&craft=0&effects=flaming,__shocking,smoke_screen_&item=item&altar=3&weapon=scimitar&pref=exc_str_2,1), but then you would not be able to get your +2 str).

Is there anyone who can post a pic of Ooze 2 on a weapon? I need someone to Confirm that Ooze 2 on a weapon is NOT a Guard and IS indeed a weapon effect (trigger when you hit mob).
Otherwise I dont wanna waste my Larges to make Sundering Ooze guard on a weapon.

There's something funky going on with my Air Guard cloak.
Although the combat text when the cloak is put on indicates that it will trip, I am seeing the stun animation from monsters that occasionally set it off.
I'm pretty sure they are actually stunned, too.
Does anyone else have an Air Guard item?

My necklace knocks things down - when you examine them they have "Knockdown" as the effect description I believe.

Yep, it says knockdown in the description and in my combat log when I equip the item. However, in actual usage the bad guys are getting stunned.
Oh well, I like it. :)

Curious if it has been confirmed if Dust II on a weapon is working correctly, working incorrectly, or does nothing.
A response with a pic would be nice, if not I will finish up my dust II shuriken (yea I know, I had lots of leftovers) and post the pic.

Dust II is working properly. There has been a few picture posted. I could link you to them, but the pictures are no longer hosted by where they were posted.
But yes, it works now. My friend Inspire has one. Dust II on accessories has been confirmed as well.

works correctly, made a ss for my rogue the other week.
Does 500+ disintegrate damage, no save, makes the same sound as casting the spell...a bit harder to catch when it goes off than lightning strike (which is pretty obvious).
I can try to get a pic tmrw for ya.

If you are making a tier 3 shuriken are you going to be adding a blast dmg for the 3rd tier? We know that the blast dmg from a confirmed natural 20 does not currently worth with bows but works with melee weapons, it would be nice to know if blast dmg is working with any of the other range weapons or if they are all broken.
Blast dmg not working on bows is in the known issues list but I suspect that blast dmg is not working for any of the ranged weapons and would like some more confirmations. I had one report of a different ranged weapon not getting blast dmg but it was more of a weapon that a friend heard was not working and there was not a log showing the lack of blast dmg like I posted a while ago.

I'll take my bow out later and confirm but last time I checked I was getting good burst x2 from my lightning 2 bow but no shocking blast. On a natural 20 that is confirmed that a bolt does not land from I should see 6 numbers or so. I'll check if I'm getting 6 numbers now instead of the 4 I was getting before.
Should get:
Base dmg
shock dmg
pure good dmg
good burst dmg
shock blast dmg
shock blast 20 dmg

thanks for confirming Dust II
on A side note, Did some experimentation with pure Negative weapons, seeing what would and what would not imbue a negative lv when equipped.
First weapon: Dwarven Axe
tier 1 = negative energy absorption
tier 2 = Evil burst
tier 3 = strength +2
No negative level imbued when equipped
Second weapon: Rapier
tier 1 = evil(2d6)
tier 2 = strength +1
ter 3 = AC +4
Bestows 1 negative level when equipped
Conclusion: as long as a weapon does not have its tier 1 upgrade as unholy(2d6), the weapon will NOT bestow a negative level when equipped.
P.S. I did take time to search the forums looking for the answers to Dust II and to pure Negative weapons before, but did not find any satisfactory answers. hope this helps.

Just a small thing but tier 2 is pure evil burst not unholy burst. There is a difference in the dmg they do.

Due to the length of this post, I thought I'd ask for a few questions that seem to be missing:
Can anyone confirm of the healing amplifications stack for tier 1, tier 2 and tier 3?
On the Dust Effect, how often does the disintegrate effect proc, 1%?
Concordant Opposition weapons - Does it proc when you hit or when hit like worn items?

Can anyone confirm of the healing amplifications stack for tier 1, tier 2 and tier 3?
It won't stack. It's the same type of bonus, and the only bonuses of the same type that ever stack are Dodge bonuses.
On the Dust Effect, how often does the disintegrate effect proc, 1%?
1-2%, around the same amount as any of the other damaging effects proc.
Concordant Opposition weapons - Does it proc when you hit or when hit like worn items?
When you're hit, just like Guard items or like the Torc from DQ.

I just checked once more on my lightning 2 bow and I'm not getting blast dmg. In fact I'm getting some odd reported affects.
The bow is a Shock Pure Good Burst Shocking Blast bow. I should be getting
Base Dmg
Shock Dmg
Pure Good Dmg
Good Burst Dmg
Shock Burst Dmg
Shock Blast Dmg for a natural 20.
When I roll a 20 to hit and confirm the critical. Instead I'm getting
Base Dmg
Shock Dmg
Pure good Dmg
Good burst dmg
Shock Burst Dmg
So it looks like its still broken for both of my bows. I really hope they can figure out whats wrong and fix it in the next patch. Whenever that is. I would also like to say that I really miss the WDA. It was nice to see what they were working on...

If your guildies are getting blast dmg on their bows and are not confusing it with the lightning strike could you ask them HOW they made their bows? Did they do shock then pure good or holy then shocking burst? My bow is shock then good burst so I'm trying to narrow down the number of variables.

I am certain has been asked but i'd like an answer anyway:
When I am crafting my tier 3 with dual focus does it make any difference at all whether the NON-dominant shard is Dominion, Escalation, or Opposition? I want to go with Dominion just because i can save myself a large stone.

Yes, it does. You have to use the same essence and gem on both shard, but varying the foci.

Since I'm way to lazy to read all 140ish pages of this post I will simply ask if anyone knows this:
A friend of mine made a Mineral II Rapier today. According to the Special Upgrades for Tier 3 chart Positive is the Dominant shard in the dual shard combo, but when he upgraded the dominant shard was earth (granting acid blast instead of good blast). Not sure if I'm reading the chart wrong or there is a typo...

will i get the end result of +45 hps, +6 concentration, and mineral 2?
Yes. But here it's not confusing because both give Con skill bonus.
Basicly, there is only one of the two foci that will bestow an effect. That focus is the dominant focus. In the case of Mineral II, it's Earth.

Nonetheless, you'd think there'd be enough spare ingredients out there by now to get the list completed. Here are the blank entries:
There is now an entry for Freezing Ice guard on the main page, although it had not been mentioned in any posts to the thread (and the description is only included as a JPG link, instead of being copied to text like the others)
That means the only tier 3 combo really unknown is the Neg-Water Corrosive Salt clothing effect.

To upgrade a Balance of Land and Sky Item you need a Tempered Shard and Blanace of Land and Sky for Tempered Item
Balance of Land and Sky..+[ Water.....+ Fire.....].= Elemental Mastery - Weapon / Accessory
Tempered.................+[ Earth.....+ Air......].= Elemental Mastery - Weapon / Accessory
Umm, got this backwards for tier 3

OK, I am still a noob when it comes to crafting. basically what I am looking for is this:
weapon: Mineral Aspect + Acid Burst, Blast and Good Blast....anything else interesting I can put on it?
Item: the big question is (and I am afraid I might know the answer) - can I put Healing Amplification on anything other than a weapon?
Now, If I can't put healing aplification on an item, then what do I have to give up in my weapon example to get that?
Thanks!

You can't have healing amplification on an item. You can't have mineral with good blast either.
A Mineral II battle axe with 20% healing amplification would look like this (http://www.iro.umontreal.ca/~delallea/ddo/shroud/cgi-bin/shroud.cgi?item=item&weapon=battle_axe&effects=mineral2_weap_,healing_amp_20,acid,_acid&groups=healing_amplification&altar=3) (note: you can't have 30% with mineral II).

The stack with difrent ranks of each other IE
the +6 cha in a normal +6 stat itemenhcment bonus
the +1 exception cha will stack with the +6 base and the +2 exceptions BUT not another +1 exceptional
the +2 exception cha will stack with the +6 base and the +1 exceptions BUT not another +2 exceptional
SO yes you cna get a weapon that gives a total of +9 cha.
Same deal fro the skill bonused each tier will stack with each other tier but not another of the same tier IE a pos pos pos SP item woudl giv e+6 cha skills.
Hope that helps :)

Wracked my brain last night for the right set of goggles for my upcoming pal8/rgr6/rog2. I want to have improved spell points, increased cha skills (for umd) and improved HP. To get all of the stuff I want, I would have to dual-shard at tier III but the ones that work best for me are not compatible shards (e.g. I wouldn't get a bonus effect). My long-winded question is whether I will get both properties at tier III even if the shards are incompatible for a bonus effect?
What I'm thinking about building is this:
Tier I: (neg) Blindness ward, disease immunity
Tier II: (pos) +2 con skills, improved elemental energy (15hp)
- bonus wis +6, +10 haggle/diplo
Tier III: (pos) +3 cha skills, +100sp
Tier III: (neg) +3 str skills, greater elemental energy (20hp)
- essence don't match, no bonus effects
So is this a viable build or are there better ones that would do the same thing only better?
Thanks for your feedback.

you only EVER get one tier 3 effect form a dule shard all dule shard alow you to do is gain the bonues effect they MUST be the same.
I would suggest you plan on 2 items something like this to get the efect you want.
Number 1:
Tier I: (Earth) +10 HP +1 Con skills
Tier II: (Pos) +15 HP +2 con skills
Mineral 1 - 2 clickys of stone skin
Tier III: (Earth&Pos) +20 HP +3 con skills
Mineral 2 - Heavy Fort & Prot 5
Number 2
Tier I: (neg) Blindness ward, disease immunity (this seams a waste since pallys are imune to disies I'd just caryr remove blindness pots but hey that me)
Tier II: (Pos) +50SP +2 Cha skills
Existenal Stalemate +6 wis etc.
Tier III: (Pos&Neg) +100SP +3 cha skill
Concordent oppostion SP/TEmp HP on hit.

You can't have both +100 Sp and +20 Hp. If I were you I'd go with HP because SP items become useless as soon as you spend your SPs.
Would be something like this (http://www.iro.umontreal.ca/~delallea/ddo/shroud/cgi-bin/shroud.cgi?item=goggles&weapon=weapon&effects=blindward_disimm,exist_1_,gee_3_dex&groups=plus_15_hp,plus_20_hp&altar=3).

NONE of any of this makes any sense whatsoever!!!!! everything posted here is far to technical and has no possible function other than to bewilder and confuse people. Why can someone just post a thread or a sticky or something that lets people put into it what they want out of it and then tell them what to do STEP BY STEP to get what they want instead of saying all this **** about positive negative fire earth **** and just break it down to i want this item to give me X amount of mana or do this much damage from this kind of dmg source and then tell the person what ingrediants are needed and where to combine them?
maybe im stupid but after trying tofigure this **** out since the launch of the stupid crafdting system i have yet to figure it out even though i can get straight A's in college i cant understand all this mumbo jumbo and incoherant babble about crafting in ddo. the devs are far too stupid to just make the crafting like in REAL D&D and have a blacksmith make weapons and a tailor make cloth armor and an armorsmith make plate and an alchemist make potions and a scribe make scrolls and so on and so forth like any normal MMORPG on the market instead of all this farming ingrediants **** that brings this great MMO back tot he stupidity of EQ1 where all peope did was farm for hours and hours to level up.

Greensteel items become "Bound" on equip.
So, what happens if you upgrade your GS item to Tier1 and maybe 2&3. Are you still able to transfer it or does it bind as soon as you upgrade your GS item with Tier1?

The recipe was simply Positive Focus + Material Essence + Dominion Gem all the way through. I also bound/attuned it at the Stone of Change.

I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed this but I made a tier 3 regen item for my monk today and I did not get Superior Regeneration. I got Greater Regeneration. This is not listed on any of the crafting guides. It appears to be 1hp/15 seconds just as Superior Regen is listed as doing but is labeled Greater instead. I suppose this means they could be adding a new Superior regen that will heal more per minute.
Anyone else notice this?

Any chance the wiki can be updated with the info for the GS weapons? Number of dice and such. I know they are all higher then normal but the info about exactly how many dice of what kind each of the weapons is upgraded to is not listed anywhere on the site that I could see.
Looking in other sources like the crafting planner also only has the info for some of the weapons.

Ah, nice and complete. Whats missing is a way to get to that page easily from the Altar of Fecundity page. All of the recipes are listed with the named of what they make but the names don't link to anything so I was not sure where I could look to find the info.
I expected to go to the page that lists the different GS items you can make and for the name on that page to link to a picture or info about the item itself. The GS items page links to the recipes page but the recipe page does not link to the GS items page.
Sorry for the confusion.

I am a casual gamer and don't have the time to get all of the ingrediants to make two sets of super shard items for any of my characters, so I have a question to pose for discussion:
If you could only make two weapons for your character what would be the best weapons to make?
Assumptions:
Pure Fighter (Kensai)
TWF
Strength-based (obviously)
Khopesh
Mod 9 Transmuting nerf (or correction if you prefer)
Personally, I am leaning to two Mineral II weapons despite the Transmuting nerf as it will still be able to bypass all non-lawful/chaotic aligned DR. They will work equally well against both trash monsters and boss fights. But, I have heard from several people that the only fights that matter are boss fights, so Lightning II would be better as the extra Lighting DPS surpasses the extra damage of a weapon bypassing DR.
My concern is that if Lighting II procs on trash mobs it will be overkill and that since it is only a percent-chance to proc it isn't reliable.
Does anyone else have any comments?

Mineral II. Getting thru the DR results in a massive amount more DPS then the odd lightning strike might get you while your not getting thru DR.
Especially considering the high level focus is almost entirely devils and demons which can have very high DR you can bypass... But only with a silver/good wep like mineral, and not a lightning strike weapon.

Mineral II is a safer choice. It is usually believed Lightning II and Mineral II have similar DPS on the Pit Fiend on normal, but Mineral II is definitely much better on any higher difficulty, and we don't know yet what amount of DR future monsters will have. So better go Min II.

Stacking in D&D (and DDO) is based on bonus type, not what the bonus is to. In this case the bonus is "competence" so it would stack with any bonuses that are not "competence" bonuses.

INTRODUCTION TO CRAFTING AND THE ELDRITCH RITUALS
================================================== ===================
Following is a guide and a compilation of recipes and information for the new "Crafting" system
I am not claiming ownership or creation of any of their information but am just providing a compiling service ;)
INTRODUCTION
If you want the full introduction to the system please visit this link Turbine - "An Official Beginners Guide to The Eldritch Device" (http://www.ddo.com/articles/945)..I originally had it reposted here, but it clutters this posting.
Firstly there are Two types of Eldritch Device. The first is the Stone of Change found near the marketplace bank in Stormreach.
The Second are the Raid Loot Crafting Altars, including the Altar of Fecundity under Meridia, the Altar of Invasion in the first part of the Shroud Raid, The Altar of Subjugation in the thrd part of the raid and the Altar of Devasation in the fith part (and end) of the Raid.
The Sonte of Change - can be used to convert some items (eg 10 Flawed Siberys shards to Imperfect Siberys Shards) and in "Rituals" such as the Adamintine Ritual to improve the Hardness and Durability of items and weapons. Recipes for the stone of change can be found several paragraphs down.
Raid Loot Crafting Altars - "There are several steps to creating your own loot and upgrading that item, so let’s see how it works."
Everything starts with ingrdients. Find basic (Tier 1) ingredients and using the recipes below, upgrade them to Tier 2 igredients and then use them to make or upgrade a Green Steel Item. Recipes are not physical items you find in the game, they’re simply known combinations of ingredients that successfully produce another item or ingredient.
The Green Steel Item upgrade is part of the new raid loot mechanism so you need to be doing the Shroud Raid for many of the ingredients particularly after the manufacture of . ie. you find ingredients, make your green steel item, then upgrade the item (up to 3 times ?) to become more powerful.
There are several posts at the top of this thread that contain important information and I have linked to them as follows..or just scroll down the first few posts. You can also try the Wiki (http://ddo.enterwiki.net/page/Crafting) which (say that 5 times fast) contains a lot of this information in a manner/layout not possible in the forums.
================================================== ===================
STONE OF CHANGE
There is a "Stone of Change" (The Marketplace, Near the Bank) that can upgrade existing items (Ie not part of the green steel "Raid" loot)
Currently you can do several things to items on the stones of change as follows:
Binding/Attuning Ritual I:
Benefit: Binds / Attunes items so they no longer take permanent damage and can have rituals (Like the Adamantine Ritual placed on them) but it can no longer be traded.
** There is currently a bug where ML0 items require 400 Shards to Bind/Attune (400 = Lvl 20 item)
Materials: item requires (minimum level of item ^ 2) Khyber Dragonshard Fragments eg Level 12 item need 144 Khyber Dragonshard Fragments**
Adamantine Ritual I:
Benefit: This item has been tempered by a Stone of Change using the Adamantine Ritual. It has +5 Hardness and +10 Durability.
Further Adamantine Rituals will increase this item's Durability. (But require greater amounts of Adamantine Ore and Soul Gems)
Materials: 10 Adamantine Ore, 10 Soul Gem: Essence of Earth, 1 Attuned Equippable Item (Items bound like raid items still need the binding/Attune Ritual before upgrading here.
Adamantine Ritual II:
Benefit: This item has been tempered by a Stone of Change using the Adamantine Ritual. +5 to Durability.
Further Adamantine Rituals will increase this item's Durability. (But require greater amounts of Adamantine Ore and Soul Gems).
Materials: 15 Adamantine Ore, 20 Soul Gem: Essence of Earth, 1 Attuned Equippable Item (Items bound like raid items still need the binding/Attune Ritual before upgrading here.
Alchemical Armor Eldritch Ritual
Benefit: Grants armor a +1 alchemical bonus to AC.
Materials: Requires: Your armor, 5 Vials of Pure Water, and 15 Strings of Prayer Beads.
Alchemical Shield Eldritch Ritual
Benefit: Grants your shield a +1 alchemical bonus to AC.
Materials: Your shield, 6 Silver Flame Hymnals, and 2 Tomes: Prophecies of Khyber.
Force Damage Ritual
Benefit: Your weapon will do 1 point of force damage on each successful hit.
Materials: Your weapon, 3 Luminescent Dusts, and 9 Fragrant Drowshood mushrooms.
Force Critical Ritual
Benefit: Your weapon will do 1d4 points of force damage on each successful critical hit.
Materials: Your weapon, 6 Sparkling Dusts, and 12 Deadly Feverblanch mushrooms.
Resistance Ritual
Benefit: Your jewelry item will give you a +1 competence bonus to saves.
Materials: Your jewelry accessory, 4 Lightning-Split Soarwoods, and 22 Funerary Tokens.
Basic Stone of Change Conversion Recipes
100 Siberys Dragonshard Fragments : Flawed Siberys Dragonshard
10 Flawed Siberys DragonShards... : Imperfect Siberys Dragonshard
10 Imperfect Siberys DragonShards : Siberys Dragonshard
Trap the Soul Ingredients (extra info from Angelus_dead (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?p=1552692) - read this link before wasting shards on the spell)
1000 Khyber Dragonshard Fragments : 10 Tiny Khyber Dragonshards (10 HD)
100 Tiny Khyber Dragonshards..... : 20 Small Khyber Dragonshards (20 HD)
20 Small Khyber Dragonshards..... : 8 Average Khyber Dragonshards (30 HD)
10 Small Khyber Dragonshards..... : 4 Average Khyber Dragonshards (30 HD)
**Small Khyber Shards - you need these for the first Adamantine Ritual - Earth Elemental (CR 7): Essence of Earth
"It is suspected that once the scholars fully understand the powers of the device, we’ll even be able to change effects on existing items as well as shatter shards into fragments, but these are dangerous powers which must be studied further, before we can attempt such deeds."

I saw that adamantine rituals can restore an item that is broken back to useful status, but can it fix permanent damage or just add a few blue durability and leave the red as it is?
Also, is there a way to select the look of your armor?
Can it be reforged to use different selections from the seemingly random list of under and over layers?
Could you change the base material of an armor, so if you found a look you like in steel, it could be transmuted to mithral?
Could you take a cheaper +1 armor and upgrade its plus? It would be a lot easier to find a look you like randomly if you weren't having to buy suit after suit of +5 just to try them on and find that they're ugly.
Is there some "dressing room" feature to preview the look of an armor, like LotRO has? Every other item visible on your character shows its look in the target window besides the one thing with the largest influence on your look.
