Notes: The Junkman is a Mod 4.1-friendly evasive DPS paladin that brings the right blend of defense with outstanding offensive firepower. When Turbine "fixed" evasion, the assumption among the hoi polloi was that evasion tanks were screwed, and that the various Batman builds were dead.
However, Mod 4.0 also brought with it mobs of incredible offensive capability, where unless you're aiming for 55+ AC, you might as well have no AC: you'll get hit the same amount. HP has become the primary feature for melee characters, not AC, in Elite Gianthold -- unless you have a dedicated defensive tank build with several pieces of elite and raid loot gear.
The Junkman then takes the fusion of these two trends and elects for a straight up beatdown paladin with incredible immunities and saving throws, and excellent damage output via THF line.
This character will never focus on AC -- but will look to save, to be immune, and to have adequate health. With clerics routinely popping 350+ point Heals, even a WF tank can be healed to full with a single cast.
Let's look at some specifics:
To Hit:
13 BAB
9 Str bonus
3 Divine Favor
5 Weapon
4 Greater Hero
-5 Power Attack
------------------------
+29/+29/+34/+39
Attack Boost is another +3 to hit, and Rage potion (be perma-raged wherever possible) is another +1 to hit, and Haste/Recitation/etc. can all stack on top of this.
I think you can count on +30 to hit on a regular basis in most quests with most parties, and +35 to hit with frequently used buffs such as Recitation and your own Attack Boost. That is with Power Attack turned on, of course.
Damage is solid:
2d6
+5 Weapon
+3 Divine Favor
+15 Str bonus (assumes 30 Str w/ Rage)
+10 Power Attack (for THF)
------------------
2d6 + 33 = 35 - 45 per swing, plus glancing blows and any effects damage.
AC is negligible; not even worth discussing. You're going to get hit. BUT, because you are Warforged, even Mod Fort item will give you 100% immunity to crits. Plus, with WF Damage Reduction, can get 6 DR fairly easily by wearing something like Golden Greaves, plus you can UMD up some Stoneskin scrolls and Displacement scrolls for big fights.
Saves:
Fort/Ref/Will
+7/+3/+3 Base 11 levels of Paladin
+2/+0/+0 Base 1 level of Fighter
+0/+3/+0 Base 2 level of Rogue
+4/+4/+4 Resistance 4 item
+7/+1/+2 Attributes bonuses/negatives
+4/+4/+4 Greater Heroism
+5/+5/+5 Divine Grace w/ 20 Cha
+2/+2/+2 Resist of Good II
+1/+1/+1 Base Aura
--------------------
+32/+23/+21 total saves.
Totally immune to paralysis, fear, disease, poison, energy drain (huge since beholders love to Enervate now), nausea, exhaustion.
Has evasion with decent reflex saves.
Has 30pt elemental resists in the event that you don't make your evasion save.
Has over 300 hp with normal expected buffs, in the event that you don't make your evasion save, and the damage cuts through your DR.
Skill-wise, I put everything into UMD:
17 ranks
5 Cha bonus
3 Cartouche
1 Rabbit Gloves
4 Greater Hero
2 Rogue Skill Boost I
---------------
+32 UMD -- use Raise Dead on a 4. Heal scrolls (even with the 35% loss) might be worth toting around, and Reconstruct scrolls as well. Can self-cast Greater Hero from scrolls with a reasonable chance of success. Obviously, can use Repair wands as well as the Heal wands (at a penalty).
If I were going to roll a WF paladin, this is the direction I would go in personally.
