View Full Version : Diminishing returns for xp and new lvl's.

Can I get some feedback please?

It has suddenly occurred to me that with a capped out character we are on a path of diminishing returns when it comes to XP and are possibly digging ourselves into a hole that is going to be difficult to get out of unless of course Adventures quit recording completion once a char caps his xp.

We are coming to the point where we are needing incredible amounts of XP to progress to the future levels and any adventuring we are doing is hurting our chances of attaining these new levels.

Pint being that level 14 is going to require 910k XP to obtain.(thanks for the info Bloodhaven). Since capping my main character I have continued to run high level quests while playing the game to keep it fun but have also been reducing the amount of XP I get per mission. Now when the level increase comes into play we are going almost have to be able to level on new content alone. Eventually we are going to get the point as the levels continue to rise that the ONLY thing that will give us XP is new content.

Either the new content has to have phenomenal XP rewards or our main chars are never going to be able to reach these new levels. (looking to lvl 16 - 20)

Several solutions I can see to this problem are:

1) Bank our XP on a per character basis and credit us with it whenever there is a cap increase.

2) Have Quests stop progressing our completion counter once a character reaches max xp so that when the cap does go up we can run it for the appropriate xp amounts.

If nothing is done to help us out new chars that have not reached cap before are really going to be the only one's that will be able to obtain the new level caps.

Am I missing something in my concern or over reacting to this or is this something that needs to be addressed?

Uh, you said it yourself. When you are capped, running adventures does not count towards the total run count. You still receive the same xp that you did before you were capped and always will until you run it after cap rises (my sorc has run Relic elenty-billion times, but was capped on each one. It says I have repeated this adventure 0 times). Then the count resumes. I don't think there are any concerns here.

I love it when a plan comes together like that. :)

Cool, I could have sworn that the counter was still running when it came to BTG. I thought I had capped prior to running it but now only receive the min xp. Must have capped afterwords.

Thanks again

Can someone tell me how to delete my thread since I seem to have done 2 things wrong.

1) thought I was posting in general where something like this should be.
2) got the questions answered in that I was mistaken to begin with.

Thanks

If you're concerned, you can edit your post so that all it says is deleted or something like that.

Hey, what happens if you're capped but have XP Debt from death...does it count the quest then or is it still a no count?

I believe so.

Though I could be wrong.

Which I guess tells you nothing useful.
