Did we ever establish if Pro Wrestling was real?

I think my example of the camel clutch was the deal sealer.

Hulk Hogan being the first person to ever escape the camel clutch, which was The Iron Sheiks signature move, would have a word or two with us if he knew we were suggesting this...

"Lemme tell ya somethin bruther!"

Hehe. I love how when you look at wrestling now, and compare it to the "signature moves" of the old timers.

Now you have your figure 4 leg logs, and flipping off the top rope suplexes to finish a guy off. But look at back in the day. Hulk Hogans move? A friggin leg drop. That's it. 1 meaty thigh to the neck.

A plain old suplex or pile driver, and they would be out for the count.

Ah I miss wrestling. I saw Sgt. Slaughter bite a chunk of flesh out of Nikita Koloff's head and spit it into the crowd. The Road Warriors beat the snot out of Jim Cornette's "Midnight Express" and the 4 Horsemen took apart the Rock-n-Roll Express!

Man I missed out on a wrestling conversation, being noted for my raiding prowess, and just some of the best entertainment I've seen in years. See what happens when ya go and have a kid ;) Oh and BTW the greatest wrestling moment ever was when Rowdy Roddy Piper broke a coconut over Jimmy Superfly Snuka's head.

Baron Von Raschke was a formidable foe. I also liked Mad Dog Vachon and Kenny Sodbuster Jay....ahhh..memories.

I went to a rassling event in Omaha once back in the mid 80's, just before I was married.....I sat next to a woman who looked like a kind old grandmother type, until Junkyard Dog took the ring. She screamed like a banshee at poor JYD. I thought she was going to have a brain hemorrhage. I was glad when it was all over..I was afraid the grandma was going to jump the barricade and take him out.

Good times. :)

Nikita Koloff....the Russian Sickle

He was one of my favorites.

Nikolai Volkoff used to live near a friend of mine in Maryland. Hehe I always loved that George the Animal Steele was a teacher.

Must have been some AWA event circa 1989. That's the only time I can picture them in the same federation.

It was definitely in the 80s. I stopped going to wrestling shows when I was....**** Im dating myself again.

AWA or NWA, I forget what it was called at the time (definitely not WWF)

Hooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooe!

Who was the big ole overalls wearing Hill Billy? Hill Billy Jim? Used to carry a horse shoe around. Hehe I think they had some of his "relatives" come out at later time.

I still love Doink the Clown.
